Good Budget Hotel In Lucknow
Excellent rooms, clean linen, good service is what you can expect from budget hotel.The rooms were big clean with clean linen, towel and neat washrooms. The rooms were having all the toiletries and basic fixtures required. The service was also good and prompt. A staff has been extremely sincere in his duty to serve us to our satisfaction. This place will always be my first preference in Charbagh Station Area- Thanks Hotel Sumitra Lucknow.

Worst Hotel I have seen ever.
The floor of rooms was dirty and the room was smelling and stinking a lot. Never stay here. The tea was served in paper cups and much costly i.e. Rs. 15/- per cup. The one thing was notable the behaviour of staff. They were much courteous and well mannered.

The worst hotel we stayed in Lucknow .Rats are playing in rooms , dirty smell , water overflowing from the bathroom & entering under your bed . Could not dare to stay longer . Well before checkout time with out having Even tea . Though breakfast was included in package. Indian toilet.

Just about acceptable
The start of my stay was not promising. The free pickup was not there waiting for me even though I had called ahead to confirm that I am indeed coming, and will arrive by train (not by air). When I called the hotel, they couldn't speak enough English to understand my query - this was night already. Fortunately they gave me the number of their manager who did speak adequate English, who promised to refund me whatever tuktuk fare I paid to get to the hotel. When there, they counter staff seemed to have trouble finding my Agoda reservation - it didn't look like they were familiar with getting bookings online. Moreover they seemed to mistake me for Nepali, and appeared to be somewhat snotty to me as a consequence. They spoke close to no English so it forced me to call the manager again, who was by contrast quite courteous. They finally found me a room.
Then they wanted my passport and asked me to retire to my room until they brought it back to me - I do not like leaving my passport with others, and it isn't actually necessary. I've stayed in hostels in India and they just need to photocopy the front and hand it back - it takes 2 minutes. The copier was just behind them - which they eventually used when I insisted on simply waiting at the lobby until they were done.
The room itself was just average. Tolerable, nothing fancy. The amenities are sufficient. They offered water but as I travel with a Sawyer portable filter I didn't need bottled water. Air cond works, bathroom ok for Asian standards. The staff were much nicer after that first night though. Had they been that polite on check in (i.e. respected me as a paying guest), I would have reviewed them quite differently.
I didn't stay very long in Lucknow, otherwise I'd be tempted to move to a better part of town, since the area is very noisy with loud traffic even past midnight. However it seemed to me that accommodation rates are somehow on the high side in Lucknow (I mean, why??) so all in all I guess it was an ok place to stay given that there's also room service.

Fabulous Hotel With Free Pickup In This Tariff
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Lucknow! Upon arrival you are warmly welcomed by the desk managers,The staff is extremely friendly & In addition to the same, the hospitality extended and the room service is very effective & you are treated with all courtesy & friendly gestures. As a whole, this is a 5/5-star property with awesome ambiance and the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home comfort to me. In all respects credit goes to the General Manager & the whole team who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality..!!
