5 Star service & hospitality.

One of the best hotels in Leh City, 5 star ratings in every department. I am short of words to explain the good things about this hotel. Value for money, great hospitality, awesome food, very well behaved staff. Mr. Sonu is the best person to contact for anything, he and his team made our stay very comfortable.
Had a wonderful experience at this hotel.
Thanks to the entire team.

Great Place to stay at Leh

We had booked for 2 nights on different dates - one day in their Guest House (located in the same premises) and the second stay in the main Hotel with breakfast and dinner. On our arrival, we were informed that the Guest House earmarked for our accommodation is occupied by a foreigner who has fallen sick and could not check out. Hence they request us to move to a nearby Guest House and they will provide a vehicle to bring us and drop for dinner and breakfast at the hotel. We agreed for the same but the Guest House which they alternatively provided was not very good as construction work is going on in the premises making maneuvering within the premises a bit difficult. At the time of checking in we did not like the place but since we were tired quite a bit we agreed for the accommodation. After dinner at the hotel, my wife met the owner / Manager of the hotel and talked to him about the problem. He immediately (within 15 minutes) arranged for an alternate accommodation in a 3-Star Hotel nearby and arranged for our shifting to the said place. The alternate accommodation was really good with a suite to sleep 4 persons and enough place inside the room to move around and all amenities. Further on our return stay we were provided the room in the first floor of the Sangalay Palace and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The food was very good for both breakfast and dinner. Stay was really memorable for the special accommodation they provided to us.

About Hotel Sangaylay Palace in Leh Ladakh

Sangaylay Palace is a medium budget hotel. The rooms are clean and incredibly neat. The kitchen service is good. Due to altitude sickness we were unable to eat much but food at all times food was very good...not too spicy nor oily. No idea abt non veg options as we were vegetarians. The place has a nice lawn with chairs where you can spend early mornings and late evenings. The management has pleasant music in the corridors in the morning and some good Hindi music on the lawn in the evening. They cleaned our room everyday and it looked fresh and nice. The rooms have good ventilation with enough light and breeze. I only wish they had kept a few tea and coffee sachets for morning coffee and tea. Also it would have been nice if they had a water purifier on all floors so that we could collect water everyday. Otherwise we had to buy water bottles besides the complimentary ones adding to plastic waste. The rooms have a TV but all programs are in Hindi. It is 15 minutes walk to the marketplace and does not have a microwave or small fridge. Hot water for the shower was available in the morning.
Best part I liked is there is a common box for tips and you can place something which I think gets shared by all staff.
The manager Mr.Sonu is a charming friendly young man and so are the other staff. We liked the place and recommend it to others

Nice property with central heating

Has spacious rooms which are centrally heated and have heated mattress also...Food is good with variety...staff is nice...manager Mr sonu is very helpful....has nice ambience...gives mountain view...do rest for first 2 days....road to pangong lake is very bad...
