Great stay at Hari resort

I came with my family of 11 members, I found hari resort great comparing prices with other hotels, Mr. Karanji over here @ 9858511659 gave us best guidance for our whole kashmir tour. All the hotels were excellent with excellent butterfly houseboat at srinagar. Fooding & service was great. 14 seater van also arranged by them was too good with very helpful driver.

Just Ok Hotel

We stayed at this hotel from 25th to 27th May, 2015. The look and feel of the hotel and rooms are fine, but there were lots of problems we faced during our stay:
1. There is no lift in the hotel, so think twice before booking it if you have elderly people with you or how will you climb when you are back from Darshan and you have painful legs.
2. We had booked 4 rooms and each one of had some or the other problem, like intercome phone was not working in my room & there was no remote for AC - I complained immediately after checking in but till my check out, the problems were not resolved. In other rooms, somewhere geyser was not working, door was noisy to open, or drinking water was not available etc. etc.
3. It is nearly 800 meters from the Chadhai starting point, no good restaurants near by. You have to either walk for 800 meters to 1 km or wait for their free transporation for at least 30 minutes though they say just 5 minutes. Auto guys are crazy at Katra, for short distance of 2-3 Kms also they ask 100-200 Rs.
4. Staff is polite but not efficient, the quality of food/ beverages offered under room service is terrible.

Holiday in kashmir

We started our tour to kashmir from katra, our first stay was at hari resort, Mr. Karan over here planned our total kashmir holiday plan. Our first stay at hari resort was great. All the stay through out kashmir - pahalgam, srinagar, gulmarg was excellent. All hotels & butterfly house boat was too good with all exclusive services.

Budget Hotel: Good location; beware of overpricing

My only parameter was decent place near Banganga, hence selected this.They Promised pick and drop from Banganga but did not honour their promise.
Location: Close to Banganga
Hotel- Basic cleanliness, good parking place
Surroundings-no restaurant but ample of Dhaba nearby
Staff-OK
Price-NEVER PRE-BOOK. I pre-booked at a premium from Mumbai, discovered that every one else is paying lesser than me. Rs. 1000/- per night for AC Double room is the correct rate.
A word of caution: They have a travel agency. DO NOT BOOK until you check other options. They charge at least 2-3 TIMES compared to other tour operators.

Dont trust their words

Rooms are clean but they dont value their words, they committed for pic up and drop from baan ganga and drop to katra railway station but they denied at the end time, we have almost missed our train because of their last time refusal. Dont trust their words.
