After reaching the hotel, the receptionist said the rooms were ready as we checked in late, but to our surprise, one of the rooms was not really ready, as it had moisture in the room, fridge not working, so had to ask them to change the room. Receptionist understand a bit of English. But the housekeeping doesn't understand English nor Hindi, only their local language TAMIL. Thanks to the Google translator, had to communicate using the translator everytime. Restaurant staff was ok with understanding English, but had to repeat again and again. Food was good enough as we had asked them mot to make it spicy, but sometimes they got it spicy, but due to communication problem mistakes happen, due to language barrier. Overall stay was ok.

Wet Floors and Lack of Action

I booked a room at this hotel for my elderly parents, and unfortunately, their experience was disappointing. They found the room floors to be wet, which posed a safety risk. When they reported this to the reception, it was casually dismissed as an air conditioning leak, and they were told it would be looked into. However, nothing was done until the day they checked out.
This is particularly concerning as wet floors can be very dangerous for elderly guests due to the risk of slipping. I hope the hotel takes such issues more seriously in the future, especially when it involves guest safety.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve had abroad. They claim to be a 3-star hotel, but I wouldn’t even rate it 1 star. The rooms and facilities look nothing like the pictures on their website—unless those photos were taken over a decade ago. Their 3-star rating is completely misleading and should be revoked.
The worst part of my stay was being woken up by the sound of heavy machinery at 6:30 AM. When I called reception to complain, the staff responded with a smirk and a condescending, “I’ll ask them to stop.” No apology, no urgency—just pure incompetence.
Speaking of incompetence, the reception staff were beyond unprofessional. They held my passport for nearly 20 minutes during check-in to make photocopies, only to send someone to my room later that evening demanding it again. That staff member was incredibly rude and persistent, to the point where I had to shut the door on him. When I complained at reception, they didn’t even bother to apologize.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone—unless you’re actively looking for one of the worst hotel experiences of your life.

I stayed one night at the hotel.
It is very old hotel and you will have a feeling that you in one of the oldest hotel in 1960’s. Room do have modern amenities, you need to run water for about 10 mins to get hot water and the hot was is warm. Housekeeping, Front Office and Room Service staff’s are very nice.
TV was not working and there are no outlets close to the bed for changer. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.
