Comfortable stay

The rooms were average in size. It was dusty but otherwise well kept. The bathroom exhaust window needed to be covered as there was another building nearby. I think the hotel-in-charge should address this aspect. The staff were courteous and helpful. The rooms are upstairs and you need to take the stairs, but this was not an issue for us. Parking can be an issue if you are travelling using your own vehicle, although, you will likely be able to park near the main road or nearby lanes in the night. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but they do provide food from a nearby restaurant. Moreover, they have a small kitchen where they make simple breakfast. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

Decent place, no frills

The place is located in the heart of the city. Parking will be an issue as its located in the busy area. The hotel is decent. The rooms are a bit small. Good area to explore and have some local snacks in the evening. We even managed to goto a movie as the cinema hall was very close.

Bhuj and Shiv Hotel

Shiv Hotel is in the city centre of Bhuj. Frontage is small and unattractive. Roads in Bhuj though wide are appallingly maintained by local administration. Gujarat model is not reflected.
Shiv is decent with a big central lobby cum reception and rooms all around the lobby in three floors with a sky light in the top. Rooms are clean and okay for a day's stay. Still scope is there for improvement.
For us there was no dedicated parking space for our car. But Shiv arranged space with another hotel nearby. Co operative front desk staff.
Being in city centre, Pragmahal Palace and Aaina Mahal Palace are just walking distance from Shiv in midst of narrow byelanes.
From here one can visit White Rann, Mandvi beach, Vijay Vilas palace are 60-80 kms around towards North and South.
Green Rock Restaurant nearby is good for dining. Don't miss Khavda Mesuk Ghar , Mohan Dhabheli in the city.
Good city spoiled by bad roads and lack of cleanliness!

nice and comfortable

Room was worth of money. Nice location. Cleanlines can be improved. But most important aspect was the behaviour of the staff. I met jitendra singh at the reception at the time of check in. Really nice guy to meet with. Helped in every way arranged for travel and visiting places in bhuj. Really nice place with nice personsite like jitendra. Food has to be brought but it was good

HOUSE KEEPING POOR

Towels and Bedsheets not clean . Power went off at night . they do not have genset or power back up facility. One advantage is that its in the market and heart of the city. No restaurant facility. Coffee , tea and milk provided in the hotel
