Spectacular Experience

While Goa is losing its charm, there are a handful who are trying to keep the real feel alive.
Geetika is one of them :)
Geetika which her husband runs a beach resort named ARIA BEACH-GOA situated right on the beach (small Vagator). It is a boutique resort with beautiful cabins on the cliff going down to the beach. She is very warm & welcoming & made us feel like we were friends. The staff is very kind & helpful too. The highlight of our stay was the spectacular view from our room & 24X7 access to the beach from the resort.
Geetika we miss the long chats with you at the breakfast. Hope to see you again.
Until then I recommend this place to all my folks. Stay at their property & you wont be disappointed:))

Honest review: Stay away

Three of us college friends decided to stay in this property on the 26th January long weekend for 5 nights. We fell for the sea views actually. We were given room 1, just below the restaurant. The trouble started in the night. They had a huge DJ just over our room which played music to non-existent crowd till 4 am. It was so loud that our room was shaking. And this got repeated on ALL 5 NIGHTS. We realized later that they are not a resort, but a restaurant with 5 spare rooms.
The thing is that the restaurant is vying for a piece of the Vagator party pie. But it fails miserably in that too. We saw at max.10 people in their 'party festival' and all of them looked bored ... Probably lured by their management's deep discounts or something. Because no one in their right mind will cross the 1 km dirt track to visit enjoy their below average food and boring music when there is so much happening next door. That dirt track was so bad that all 3 of us had as least one fall on it on different occasions and also managed to land in a cow dung cake while avoiding a huge pack of stray dogs.
They had exactly same breakfast for 5 days in a row. The same 3 fruits, cereal, instant coffee and eggs in bird flu times. Oh, there was also the bad tasting pancake which no one ever ordered again. The only good thing about the resort is the view in the day and their serving staff is good too. All smiles & courteous service.
When we made the reservation, we were told clearly that there will be parties around the place, so expect noise. No one told us that it will be from their huge speakers right over our head, loud enough to vibrate everything on our room. To top it off, when they stopped at 4 am, then you heard the real trippy music from the beach below which sometimes stopped at 11 am in the afternoon on the next day! BOOM BOOM
The room itself is nothing great. The view is awesome though. Their bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan. Their mattress is spring, very uncomfortable. And the patio day bed is too big to sit comfortably.
I think the property is now taken over by a new management, or there is now a new major partner. Soon the place will be called Salud I think. At the time of the check-out, I talked to their old partner and expressed very reasonably & politely how we did not find value for the money we paid for. But her attitude was 'just too bad buddy'. On my insistence, she said she'll talk to the new partner. The new partner didn't even have the courtesy to talk to us and their staff offered us a thousand rupee discount on a 50k bill. We politely refused the discount and left the place.

TERRIBLE STAY

This 'luxury hut' experience was very disappointing. We booked this hotel for a romantic stay as a couple with the amazing views. However the romantic getaway soon disappeared, approaching the Aria resort was a dirt track and not very inviting. When we went to bed, we were woken up by 12 hours of TRANCE music that was so loud our fridge started moving across the wooden floor. We had NO sleep. The staff were not very helpful the next morning when we asked for a refund as we did not want to stay for another night as we had no sleep.

Amazing View

We enjoyed 4 nights and 5 days at the Aria. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Restaurant had good pasta and a DJ one night. Although it didn’t bother us neighbouring property had loud late night EDM most nights. Gorgeous views from the room.
