Great service

I was reached in hotel and booked room there. Check in and checkout was very fast from them. Staff was fast in providing service. I was happy with my stay here due to staff was friendly. There was most of all basic facilities in room like big hotels.

RACIST HOTEL

After being refused by another local hotel that only accepted 'locals', my colleague & I went to Hotel Gitanjali having found it on another major booking platform.
After arriving the front desk asked if we wanted AC or non AC. After we replied he asked us to speak to a manager who told us he had 'no rooms for foreigners'.
When challenged on when he'd have rooms, the manager tried to deflect but ended up saying they take foreigners maybe 2-3 times a week.
This is an absolute disgrace especially when this hotel continue continually advertises their services on major booking platforms online.
DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL. EVER.

Worst is still better to say for this Property

A complete worthless stay.
I had booked this hotel for 3 nights with pickup facility. I was being picked up properly however without informing me the driver taken me to another hotel of the group. When I arrived, they said the property i booked is full and giving me room in their another property, which was somehow shocking for me, as how come they have taken a booking when they are already sold out.
They keep on repeating that I adjust for one night and next day they will change my room to the one i have booked. I somehow with no other option thought to have a look at the rooms first and it came out to be too bad, walls were dirty and many other things to add on and finally I denied to stay in that property.
Post my rejection, they told me to cancel the booking and they will refund the amount, what a joke they are playing with customer. I informed my agent and they did the change in booking and somehow I was escaped from this hotel.
Next day I shifted to this hotel as per my booking and they have given me a room, which has so much smell that it did not go of even after 2 days and we had to use room freshener multiple times without any relief.
I have requested multiple times for change of room and all went to deaf ears and when I did it to core, they said they will change next day. Same happened again, next they said we are full and cant change the room. Once again I had to involve my agent and they did talk to them and finally I got the room at 10 PM.
I don't know what all I should write as this is just not a hotel and all the reviews written by other travelers stand true for this property.
Most important is the property is at such a location that it gets walk-in customer and management is just not bothered about the facility.
If still you need to stay in the room, please don't take room next to reception, as this lacks privacy and security as one of the window does not have lock and opens to the roof, where anyone can have access. Room No 101 or 102, can still be ok.
All in all if possible avoid the property.

Stay away

I booked these rooms for 2 alternate days.. 15th to 16th and then 17th to 18th..
I was shell shocked to see those small rooms (10*8), but we were ok as the room was clean and tidy. The staff just opened the room turned on the lights and dint help us get our Luggage into our room.. Which was still fine as we believe in doing our own things.. I m just mentioning this such that u don't expect such things from the hotel representative.. Next was the bathroom.. Which looked clean and tidy.. We were happy with the room.. The problem started thereafter.. The room had no geyser which meant there was no hot water.. Hotel representative informed they had removed it as it was not working.. He informed he would shift us to another room next day morning.. Next day morning we noticed there was no water.. Informed hotel rep again.. Who informed that the water was not their in the tank and I had to wait for 15 mins.. They changed my room as promised.. But the other room also had issues with the geyser.. Hotel rep changed the pipe but there was still a leakage and we were getting some burnt smell as well as the geyser was making some loud sound.. We turned off the geyser.. Took bath in cold water as we were already getting late..
Hotel rep promised he would give us a better room for our next visit..we reached hotel for our next visit on 17th and we were informed that there were no rooms available.. We waited for more than 30 mins.. Then we were sent to some other hotel 1km away.. Which was below standard.. Neither the hotel rep nor the cab driver knew where this hotel was and we lost our valuable 45 mins in this process.. So my recommendation is to stay away from this hotel.. As things within the hotel were not working and even if it is you are not guaranteed with your stay..

not sure what to make of this

we arrived late night and were given a family room next to reception, the hotel is on the 5th floor of an office / residential block. there are CCTv cameras around and it is next to navrangpura bus stop.
The disappointing thing is on two nights we arrived back after midnight to find our room door open and the light on. Reception said they did it but did not explain why.
The window in the room does not close and there is a balcony outside the window,
lucky for us nothing was taken from our room,
the bathroom had a very musty small.
The reception staff were junior but polite.
We did not see any manamegement around.
