A little gem in Szeged

Not in the most salubrious area of Szeged , Gerardus is a short tram ride from the centre, Dom and the river.
A medium sized modern hotel, clean and bright and friendly.
Bedrooms are large with spacious shower etc in a wet room. Many have a balcony.
Fitness suite has jacuzzi, sauna and small pool.
The food is amazing - excellent Hungarian cuisine well presented.
I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for work or pleasure - a little gem

We stayed at the hotel driving through Hungary why I don't comment on the location.
The hotel, the scent, the quality of the room, the restaurant served fantastic and honest bistro meals (not small overworked fine dining dished). We didn't have time this time to try the sauna or SPA, but that will be next time. The included breakfast was also great with many homemade specialties and machine coffee in the good end of the spectrum. This is a keeper!

Great for a stay if you do not need the buzz and nightlife around

A very comfortable and pleasant place near the stadium. The arrival is a little complicated. Maybe it is easier during the day, but at night I had to stop and search for the gate - there is not obvious illuminated sigh where to go, although the hotel is clearly visible.
There is a private and safe parking on the spot, which was a dealbreaker for me as well as a late check-in.
The rooms are clean and airy. Breakfast is sufficient in a nice cafe/restaurant, but nothing extraordinary. Good enough to start a day.
Very helpful and attentive staff.
