A Wonderful Family Stay in the Heart of Budapest

We visited Budapest with our family in early July and had a wonderful stay at Mövenpick Hotel Budapest Centre. We stayed in two connected rooms, which was a perfect and very comfortable solution for a family.
The hotel’s location is excellent right in the city center, close to the main attractions and perfect for exploring Budapest. We especially enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and the delicious breakfast with a great variety of options.
A lovely experience for a family trip. We would be happy to return again!

A hotel that is far from being considered premium

We were in a large group, and there were several incidents, like, for example: towels that were not changed, non-collected toilet garbage, clogged bathroom box rails that made the room flood. The bathrooms could have more towel, as well as a furniture to accommodate the suitcase. Breakfast is good, but not premium, and the location is also pleasant. The service at the reception cannot be considered premium either. I hope the hotel can fix these problems.

Restaurant for breakfast is nice

The hotel is in city centre with some restaurants nearby.
As an Accor Gold member, there was a plate of whole fruits in our room. Since they were only able to upgrade us for a double room, but we preferred a twin room, so we didn’t upgrade our room. The room is spacious, we opened our two suitcases and still space. Room has modern decor and clean.
I like the restaurant for breakfast buffet. The food options and taste is average, but the atmosphere is very nice, it has two levels and has a historic grand vibe.

This hotel is beautiful and the staff is superb.
Breakfast is really good, with an amazing variety of food, and a super competent staff.
The room was comfortable and quiet. The bathroom has a separate toilet, which can be common in old buildings, and might be bad for some people, but it wasn't a problem for us.
The exercise room is just a few small dumbbells (up to only 10kg), a treadmill and a bench, but it was clean and empty.
The location is really good. Metro line and tram just minutes away, and a bus stop right in front of the building. Plus, you can easily walk to many of the city's main tourist attractions.

The hotel itself and lobby were fine, however, the carpeting in our room was very stained. The beds were OK, but the mattress "topper" proved to be quite moveable during my sleep.
