Felt like I was staying in a hotel not a hostel. The free wine tasting was fun and met some great people. Not far from the Ruins bars.

No TV remote control, and the staff did not want to help to find one. Slippery floor in the bathroom, empty hand wash, no shampoo, very noise for the room on the street side. One towel not clean.

High quality of rooms and facilities, everything is clean and sophisticated. Few of staffs on there was little unkind, but it was acceptable. Common area is top quality. Satisfied.

More of a hostel than a hotel. Paid £2500 because of champions league for a tiny room next to the bar so when you open your window curtain there were people playing pool and having a drink with music right outside. No room service, threadbare towels, no wardrobe, sheets too small for bed, towel rail not working, double lock on door broken, breakfast not included. I have just been ripped off. Expedia were just as bad with their terrible customer service.

I was surprised at how nice Maverick Atheneum was, the facilities are very clean and modern. The shared dorms are spacious and offer plenty of privacy. Be aware that the price of the breakfast has actually gone up & this hasn’t been changed online so you’ll need to pay the difference when you arrive. Great location close to the train station & a 20 minute walk to the Danube
