Not-to-miss gem in Anavryti

Absolutely LOVED our stay at Guesthouse Archontiko. What a serendipitous find. We found it at the last minute after discovering we couldnt get in somewhere else en route to do the Menalon Trail - and how lucky we were. Beautiful village, fatastic hosts in George and Mary, staggering views and very comfortable room. Dont miss Mary's cooking. This was probably the best meal we had in our 5 weeks in Greece. Only downside was having to leave as we would loved to have stayed a few nights and hiked in the area with George. George and Mary also saved us a lot of money by assisting us in finding a bus rather than a taxi from Tripoli to Stemnitsa as we were told there wasn't one that day :) We will be back!

A great Stay

We had a nice stay. Mary and George made our stay very special, comfortable, worming, thoughtful, very attentive.
The place was clean, the food delicious.
Great atmosphere, the service was excellent.

A corner of paradise near Mystras

Nestled in a peaceful mountain hamlet while remaining close to the sights to visit around Mystras, this guest house is a real haven of charm. The rooms and terraces are comfortable and full of character. Maria and George are attentive hosts, present when necessary, but with great delicacy and discretion. They welcomed us with great generosity: their wise advice allowed us to discover their beautiful region in a unique light. Maria's cooking is simply exquisite. Opt for half board without hesitation! And George, a passionate musician, knows how to make evenings vibrate with an authentic rating. An address not to be missed.

beautiful meeting with Mary and George kindness, warm welcome and kindness.
Thanks to them, in all simplicity and with great generosity, we discovered local cuisine, music and traditional Greek singing.

Outstanding

A beautiful traditional house, at altitude, with beautiful hikes nearby. The real gems are the nice couple who run it, who I would give 15/10. Impossible to do them justice in a few lines, but if you've been there, you know! Exceptional food, exceptional welcome, exceptional service, exceptional attention to detail, beyond anything a 5* hotel could offer, because it comes from the heart. What an experience! We already miss them...
