THE BEST CHOICE WE COULD MAKE FOR OUR HOLIDAY
We spent a wonderful week pampered by Lia and her wonderful family.
The hotel is located in a pedestrian area, 2 steps from the main street Papadiamantis.
Everything is taken care of in every detail, it seems to fit in a postcard!
You can see that Lia has put all her heart into this project.
In the morning it also offers a delicious breakfast included in the price of the stay, if we were to return to Skiathos surely we would have no doubt... we would choose the Hotel Kastro a thousand more times.

Superb!
WOW…..what a little gem. This place is amazing. Tucked away in the centre off Pappy Street, stunning walk up to reception. Beautifully decorated. Lia her family and all staff are wonderful. The hotel is spotless. Lia offers you a small breakfast of toast, cereal and some pastries/cake. Tea, coffee, milk and some juices which is very helpful. There is also a toaster and kettle in small area for guests to use. It’s extremely quiet and comfortable. Rooms are compact and beju but perfectly functional with a lovely balcony with table and chairs. I would highly recommend. Lia cannot do enough to help you. Will definitely use this little gem again. A corner of peace in the center of Skiathos
A corner of paradise and peace in the center of Skiathos.
A small hotel in a private lane that makes you feel at home.
Lia, the owner, has managed to combine 'elegance with simplicity and the' hotel fully reflects her attention to detail and guests.
Excellent staff.
If you want a place where you can really disconnect from the world but be in the city center, this is your hotel.

A perfect stay with warm hospitality ♥️
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Skiathos! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness, immediately feeling at home. Breakfast was simply fantastic: rich, varied, and of excellent quality… and we must give a special mention to the Nespresso coffee, which became our little morning pleasure.
A heartfelt thanks goes to the owner, Lia, always smiling and helpful, who made our experience even more enjoyable with her attention and courtesy. The rooms were perfectly cleaned every morning, a detail we truly appreciated.

Not in accordance with expectations
The owner Lia and undoubtedly a helpful person. However my review will be very different from the many read on this platform. We let ourselves be convinced by the high marks and the many enthusiastic Italians who shared their experience with which, unfortunately, after staying for 6 nights at this property, I find myself in disagreement. The first problem arises about 3 days before our arrival. The hostess sends us a message saying that , due to an error by Booking , the hotel was available for 7 nights, but she only had availability for us for six nights. She therefore proposes, either to cancel the entire reservation, or to find us a solution for the last night. Having already paid an advance of 500€, we decide to rely on the host and agree to spend the last night in another hotel that she would have found us (it was a room in a nearby hotel, coincidentally her mother-in-law). The matter is still ambiguous to us today, since in so many years we travel we have never encountered a similar problem with Booking.
In any case: as soon as we arrive we are given a room that is located on the ground floor in the middle of the lobby. As soon as we entered the room we immediately seem to have no privacy, the voices and the comings and goings of people outside the room were continuous. The bathroom is also very small and separated from the bedroom by a sort of glass door similar to those of the showers. The next morning, leaving the room for breakfast, we find the suitcases of other people who had to check in on their own outside the door. We ask for a change of room: we are owned another solution , also on the ground floor, in a corridor adjacent to the hall. Being more secluded as a room, we accept. The room was much, much smaller, but with a normal size bathroom. The room was however so small that we kept our suitcases under the bed throughout the stay. There was no place to put your clothes anywhere. Outside the room there was a small outdoor living room, cute in appearance, but which gave off a smelly smell due to cats and birds. Sometimes we found it difficult to keep the windows open because of the bad smell.
The walls of the room super thin. You could hear voices, footsteps, noises coming from other people's rooms and everywhere.
Clean room no doubt, but needed maintenance work especially in the bathroom.
