Perfect!

We stayed one week and wish we had booked for two ! Everything was perfect, the hotel is in the village close to the restaurants, beach, beautiful marina. We ate in all of the restaurants during our stay and couldn’t fault one.
The taverna at the hotel is a traditional Greek taverna serving lovely dishes. Our breakfast provided was a great selection and always more than enough provided. The staff at the hotel were always so lovely, helpful and really looked after us. We had a triple room and it was cleaned every day and fresh towels and bedding provided mid week.
The village itself is small, friendly, unspoilt and traditional and an absolute gem of a find.
We are already looking at booking to go back next year!
I was concerned after reading the bad review prior to our visit but we had nothing to worry about our stay was totally perfect.

Absolutely underground that worst hotel in the world and the dirtiest place on the island

Worst hotel and most insecure in the world. All information is not correct, everything that is offered does not exist. The rooms are rotten and moldy on the walls and ceilings was simply painted over. The smell is unbearable. There is a danger to life for children. Mosquito and fly on mass, outbuilding is demolition house with a lot of garbage on balcony and building. Even the place kerkis is not recommended, there is nothing there. Hotel kitchen is obviously a washbasin, poisoning hazard. Even the two three cafes and restaurants offer the worst thing there is, also poisoning danger. The work there all together and write the feedbacks to each other so that there are enough good ones. Photos on the net and on the tour operator sites have all been created using AI and have also been photoshopped. A hundred meters in front of the house you can go up and down what to see is just garbage, even the port and supposed beach are incredibly bad and dirty. Staff as well as residents extremely unfriendly to foreigners, neither helpful nor interested in guests in any way. Very overpriced, even in the only kiosk there. The whole place very small and looks like from the horror movies. Keys must be placed on the table at the reception when you go out, all doors open and there are no staff on site either. Clothes and valuables are stolen. Have booked 6 days and left after one night, no refund neither from the hotel nor from the organizer in addition you still have to pay 5€ per day for the tourist tax to the hotel whether only 1 hour there or every day, the booked days will be charged. Whoever wants to go now is to blame for themselves.

Kerkis Bay Hotel - at the center of the village

Kerkis Bay Hotel was the perfect place to stay in Samos. Loved the scenic fishing village of Ormos Maratthokambou. The rooms were comfortable, air conditioning was great, being in the center of this great village was they key. The onsite restaurant was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus, it was very close to great coffee bars, restaurants, bars, beaches, boats and boat outings. Easy taxi service or drive to Kampos.

Kerkis Bay - All OK

Family of 5 people we booked a double and a triple since the children have grown up. The hotel is quite large with good breakfast that the staff are trying to have constantly filled, not always successfully especially if you visit the buffet quite late. At noon and evening there is a restaurant with good food. The double room quite comfortable, the triple room with a double bed (with sky) and a sofa- bed (almost) enough for 3 teenagers. Linen change is not done every day except cleaning. The balconies have views of the mountain and not the sea and they are small. The hotel does not have its own parking, you park on both streets and in the port, it needs a little search and patience especially in the evenings when Marathokampos has additional guests. The area has several shops for catering all day long, the beach next to the harbour. Staff helpful and friendly. Overall our experience was very good.
