My third time to Rodakino, and first to Oasis.We were 5 people and took 3 studios, 2 with kitchenette, all have bathrooms and balcony overlooking the sea and coastal mountains offering sunrise and sunset views in Summer. Our hostess Cristina (and her husband) worked hard to make our stay enjoyable, cleaning daily and changing sheets/towels twice in a week. Provided soft drinks, bottled water, beer, fruit and raki in the room in arrival. Christina was always friendly and kindly got up by 6am to wish us well as we left early on our last day, and had made us a plate of sweet pastries and gave us 2 bottl
es of family made olive oil which I have been savouring slowly in salads since! It was windy several days but we were able to swim safely. Beach is calm and gently sloping (don't bring inflatables in wind).There is shade from trees on the beach and loungers to hire Eu5 per day I think, and a free cold shower on the beach. Several more beaches walking east or west round the small headland. The local tavernas are excellent, each with their varied local sources of cheap wine by the 1/4, 1/2, 1 litre, local produce and speciality dishes.We liked the meals at Nicos and Ana's most. We drove to the southern point of the impressive Imbros gorge early (about 630am) and walked up and down (up to 2 hours each way, avoiding the heat of the day).
Plakias, and nearby village Myrtios, with wonderful taverna Plateia Myrthios is worth a visit, as is Preveli a little further east

Worst experience in Greece!!!
The worst experience in Greece (out of my experience of over 25 accommodations) and on booking! Long story short, the owner - Cristina, a completely characterless person, has overbooked the period and sent us to stay at the neighboring studios in much worse conditions, under the pretext that the electricity did not work exactly in our room (!!!)
The story in detail, for those who have the patience, is this: at the time when I rented, there was available only the most expensive apartment, with advance payment. I took it for 4 nights, and I paid, obviously. After 2 weeks, she called me to say that she has a problem (!!!), and to ask me if she could change the dates. I wrote her a text message with the period in which I could change, but she didn't bother to answer me anything. I called her, she pretended that she didn't know what it was talking about, but she confirmed that the initial period remained. Later, I asked her to confirm on the rental platform, which she did.
On the day of check in, she wrote to me to arrive at 5 pm (instead of 3 pm, which is her check-in time!) so that she would have time to clean the room (!?). After making us waste time on the way, when we arrived she told us that she had a problem with the electricity - it did not work exactly in the studio rented by us (!!!) and that we should stay at her neighbor's place until it is solved.
At her neighbor, the conditions were of 1-2 stars maximum, but she did not offer to pay me any difference in money.
The next day she told me that it still hadn't been fixed (obviously!), so I asked her for my money back and, with difficulty, she gave me 3/4 of what I had paid, after asking me to cancel the reservation - which I didn't do. I didn't even have the option on the platform.
Fortunately, I found, with difficulty, for the last 3 days in Crete, some exceptional studios, and, in addition, cheaper than hers!

Άψογο!
Ωραία θέα, ευγενικοί άνθρωποι, πεντακάθαρα δωμάτια. Ακούς την θάλασσα το βράδυ να σε νανουρίζει. Δεν έχει πολλές παροχές πχ τηλεόραση στο δωμάτιο, αλλά δεν του λείπει και κάτι. Διακοπές είσαι, δεν χρειάζεσαι πολυτέλειες!

Συμπαθητική πανσιόν
Μείναμε για μια μέρα στον Κόρακα μια από τις πιο όμορφες και ήσυχες περιοχές στο Ν Ρέθυμνο. Η πανσιόν είναι πεντακάθαρη οι ιδιοκτήτες ευγενέστατοι (+ δώρο καλοσορίσματος ) WiFi παντού και δωρεάν ,με θέα στη θάλασσα . Με τα πόδια πέντε λεπτά στην παραλία του Κόρακα και σε αλλα15 στην πανέμορφη παραλία του Ροδάκινου.
Για την τιμή που νοικιάζουν το δωμάτιο 30-35€ ( τον Μάιο) είναι μια καλή επιλογή.
