A Thoughtful and Personalized Experience at Rethymno House!

From the moment we arrived in the charming Old Town of Rethymno, the hospitality at Rethymno House was truly outstanding. We were warmly greeted by Miko, who personally met us upon arrival and kindly helped with our luggage, even waiting patiently as my friend’s flight was delayed.
What stood out most was his care and attention to detail. The next morning, he took the time to plan out our day, ensuring we had the proper transportation and clear directions to make the most of our time in Crete. From the day we arrived until the moment I left, every detail of our adventure was organized with thoughtfulness and local expertise.
This level of personal service made our stay not just comfortable, but unforgettable. If you're looking for a place where you’ll feel truly cared for, I highly recommend Rethymno House!

Amazing host!

This guesthouse is located in the heart of Old Town which is fabulous--the hot water is good and the beds are comfortable--but it is Niko (Nikos?) who makes this a really special place to stay. He goes out of his way to show you excellent recommendations and even does his best to personalize them upon just meeting you. Really lovely man. I definitely recommend this place if you want to make the best out of your time checking out Rethymno. Little warning is that being in Old Town it can get loud hearing people walk back from bars.

Nikos Is the BEST HOST EVER
He advise about everything from the best place to eat , drink , Have fun and he was there for everything we need
In the hard of the city with everything you need around the hotel

Very dirty unacceptable rooms

The fake ratings led us to book in this pension. The dirt we found in the room is unrivaled with any cheap hostel I have ever stayed in. Dirty sheets (blood stains!!!!), hair all around the place, mold on seiling, dirt stains on walls, food of previous residents in the fridge. Avoid at all costs!

Not the best first impression

Great location! Nikos is a wonderful soul. Very hospitable (despite my initial experience, as described below).
I wrote to Nikos ahead of time letting him know my arrival time. When I arrived, no one was at reception and the front door was locked. After 20 mins of waiting outside, another guest staying there opened the door and I was able to wait inside. After another 20 mins I was able to connect to a WIFI network and I emailed Nikos to let him know I was waiting to check in. He responded promptly and was there within a couple of minutes. He mentioned leaving because he had heard my ferry was late and he was waiting to here from me. But not all guests will have phone or internet access frequently while on vacation. I'm not sure what would have happened if I couldn't connect to the WIFI. It was not a good start to my stay at Rethymno House. Moreover, the room wasn't the cleanest. There was hair all over the floor.
