Girlie holiday for over 50s
Absolutely perfect location
Right on the beach and only 5 minutes walk to shops, bars and restaurants.
Quite a relaxing vibe.
We had perfect rooms right on the front, we did pay extra but it was well worth it.
Rooms were spacious and very clean.
The staff were amazing. Special shout out to Dennis, the owner, for meeting all our needs without any hesitation and always a smile.
Harbour, Christina and Alex who work at the restaurant and bar. Always so helpful with great recommendations for places to eat and drink.
Thank you to everyone at the hotel, it was perfect ❤️

A lovely relaxing time
We came here with our autistic teenager. The location is fantastic right on the beachfront accommodation is clean and as there was a heatwave on our air conditioning was free. Safe was also free. The breakfast though did not have a massive choice but there was enough for picky eaters like myself. Pool was a good size and felt clean. The beach itself is stunning warm shallow water where you wade out without worry. I would definitely recommend anyone who needs a relaxing time to come here.

Great holiday at phoenix beach.
We stayed at the phoenix beach hotel (adult only) from 10/08/26-21/08/26 11nights b&b.check in was quick and easy paid our tourist tax (€10 per night) and went to our side sea view room which was bright large and modern & very clean.(room cleaned & towels changed every day ) good air con and huge double bed which was very comfortable.(safety deposit box and air con in with booking price).
The hotel is well run and efficient,with plenty for breakfast English style and continental (sausage could be better and bacon cooked a bit longer and it would be great but was always edible) poolside bar area is nice with choices of seating areas shaded beach views and shaded pool areas( iced glasses for the mythos!) the poolside food was very popular and was really good quality the staff were very friendly and helpful.the pool was nice and clean with free subeds with padded toppers on , background music is played but is not to loud and is easy listening,
From the pool it is a short 20 yards down to the beach front past the grass sunbeds €20! Which are on the hotel grounds! And beach front padded sunbeds €40! (You have to pay for all the sunbeds across the beach front) and straight into the sea all within ten yards.
The hotel is in a great location for both Tsilivi centre & the planos area with loads of nice bars and restaurants in both areas .(go to the top of the road and turn left for Tsilivi & and straight on up through st Denis apartments ( this short cut cuts off the big corner!)turn right at the planet bar for planos.overall we had a fantastic holiday at phoenix beach so much that we have already booked again for next year!

Quiet location, handy for the beach
We stayed at Phoenix Beach for our 30th wedding anniversary, having stayed at Laganas 32 years before. Let's just say Zakynthos has changed a little since then! Phoenix Beach is a great choice if you want to get away from the busy Tsilivi town centre, being just 10 minutes walk away from the centre in a quiet location, right on the beach. Unless you're looking for tacky tourist shops, noisy bars and a full English breakfast I would avoid the town. But there are plenty of alternatives for food and drink close to the hotel (check out Trente Nove for dinner and the Apolis cafe for lunch and snacks).
Our room was well appointed, clean, quiet overnight and had efficient air con. Breakfast was good and reception staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Sadly our main gripe was the old chestnut of other guests hogging sunbeds - putting out towels well before breakfast and then not showing up until 11am. I raised this with reception who to their credit reminded the main offenders of the rules, but since there is a turnover of guest every day it made little difference. Only the sunbeds by the pool are free - all others are charged for by the day, and they get more expensive the nearer they are to the sea, so there is understandably fierce competition for the free ones.
My other main concern was that the pool rules are completely ignored - it says no glass by the pool and yet bar staff were serving drinks in glasses - guests even drank from glasses whilst sitting in the pool. If a glass was broken it would mean draining the pool which would likely mean it would be out of action for at least 24/48hours. What's the point in having rules if they are completely ignored?
However on the whole I would recommend Pheonix Beach if you want a small/medium sized hotel right on the beach and away from the crowds.

The hotel is nice, the rooms are lovely, the air con works well. Thr location is fantastic and the breakfast is ok, BUT and its a massive but, theres around half
The sun beds needed for guests then you have to pay £10 per bed on the grass or beach so £30 per day for my family. After paying £2700 stay at the hotel then £70 tourist tax having to pay another £210 just to sun bathe at the hotel is disgusting

Upon your arrival, our reception team explained that the sunbeds located on the grass and beach area are chargeable, as this area is operated under a lease from the Greek State. This charge applies to everyone using these sunbeds and is not an additional hotel charge.
We also explained upon your arrival that all sunbeds around the swimming pool are completely free of charge for our hotel guests. Furthermore, in accordance with the applicable regulations, the sunbeds around the pool are provided to cover 60% of the hotel's occupancy.
The accommodation price and the applicable government taxes are completely separate from the use of the beach and grass sunbeds. Nevertheless, on your first day, we offered you a complimentary set of sunbeds as a gesture of goodwill. We are therefore sorry to see that, despite this gesture, you still felt dissatisfied.
