Comfortable rooms for the night
We stayed here one night while driving through the Peloponnese. It caters to locals; at the reception desk, you have to call a phone number to raise the lady who owns the establishment. She was very nice and helpful with recommendations with restaurants.
The rooms were fine - comfortable, quiet, small bathroom - especially in light of the rates.
Some of the rooms are let on a long term basis for workers in the area.

A Traumatic experience during our last Peloponnese tour night , which is a shame and disgrace to Authorities in Nafplio.
We arrived in Nafplion , after some 5 hours of driving , so as it was rainy we crossed ARGOLIS Hotel , which looked nice and asked for two rooms . An old lady appeared in the so called reception desk and gave us keys for rooms to check for ourselves .Since there was no elevators and no staff , we declined and then we were proposed to get two rooms to ALEXANDER Rooms which belong to same Owner.
Rooms reminded me of student's one room for all , with a kitchenette , a small bathroom , too many doors to lock and unlock every time you had to go in .
There was no staff or any facility , not breakfast whilst some of the rooms were occupied on a long term lease by workers who were drinking heavily , causing a lot of noise .
NO parking of course , a really terrible WiFi , rather far from Nafplion City Center , whilst the 3 stars accreditation seems to me a fake .
Lodges like this are really a disgrace for Greek Tourism Infrastructure and should be immediately closed down .
Furthermore , amount due was cashed in advance , without any receipt , whilst use of Credit card was politely refused . I believe Greek Tax authorities should pay a visit to this "Hotel" .
Definitely It was our mistake to accept to stay there even for one night , in a place closer to a Students' Dorm than a Hotel enterprise .
Of course to all my readers , i suggest to keep away from such an accommodation , which is a shame for Nafplion , a gem town , whereas one should leave only with the best of impressions .

Basic, away from the city center and very bad WiFi
We booked the studio at the Alexander Rooms out of sheer necessity due to our own poor planning, otherwise we would've definitely opted for something different. I do have to say that the lady at the reception was nice to us, we felt quite welcomed despite a myriad of instructions that we received - lock this, lock that, don't forget this, mind that.... (we were a little cautious after reading several reviews about the reception). We did have to pay cash at check-in. A cold bottle of water was a nice touch. The room was very basic but clean. Big balcony facing a small street.
The Rooms are a good bit of distance from the city center, in a "sleepy" part of town, almost on the way out of Nafplio. However, there are some bakeries and mini markets around if you need to buy water or groceries...
The absolute con for us was WiFi. It was SO bad that the hotel staff (who didn't speak any English, by the way) had to go outside of the room to get a connection... which disappeared (or got really weak) the moment the door was shut. We didn't really buy the "the connection is really bad everywhere in Nafplio"... because it wasn't, every single cafe or restaurant downtown had excellent WiFi.
Overall, if we had a choice, we would've chosen a different property, something closer to the city center and more tuned to the vacationers from overseas.

ok just for one night
The hotel is situated in the building of another hotel, there is no sign of Alexander Rooms so you need to ask somebody inside. I have no idea what the difference between the hotels. Payment in cash only. The first room was not clean but after talking with stuff we got other one. The neighbourhood was calm, with stores and cafes, however I found quite peculiar the other clients of the hotel.

Adequate, but overpriced, poor service
Sometimes here I wondered who the customer was. I showed up around 10 a.m. at the related Argolis hotel, as instructed, no one was there. Finally, someone showed up. I told the woman I was going to check out at 930. That evidently wasn't acceptable, but she could not be bothered to take payment then because she kept hectoring me to go to the bank and pay cash. (For safety, I would rather not.) Really. .I need permission to check out at a particular time? She kept repeating 12. I called later from bed. Wi-fi not working. (Never worked.) I was advised that I should get out of bed and come pay if I wanted to leave at 930... They finally relented.
Small room, ridiculous 85 E price, hard bed, not a lot of sockets, and located in the dilapidated new town, not really in the center of things...only stay here if you must.
