Wonderful Hidden Gem with Great Staff

The hotel was wonderful, but the staff was the best part! Elina was phenomenal and was always willing to help. Angel made our time at the beach perfect. Only one restaurant, but we never ran out of great things to eat, and we were there 10 days! Close enough that you could get to Kalamata in just a few minutes. Felt like we were on our own private island! Definitely going back!

Room OK, eat crap

A normal hotel. The meal is completely carpeted, unsalted rice, pale and monotonous pasta soup with strawberry ham. Personal hidden.
On the other hand nice clean rooms but do not expect and completely modern.

Not great could be so much better

We recently stayed at Buka Sandy Beach Hotel, and unfortunately our experience was mixed.
The hotel's biggest strength is its fantastic location. It's situated right on a beautiful sandy beach and has a swimming pool and beach bar, making it a lovely place to relax. The hotel is quite isolated though, so if you want to explore the surrounding area, I would recommend hiring a car or having a reliable local taxi contact.
We stayed on an all-inclusive basis, but I wouldn't recommend this option. The food was generally bland, the drinks selection was limited, and both the food and drinks occasionally ran out despite the hotel not being particularly busy.
A special mention goes to the young lady on reception, who was always friendly, helpful, and happy to answer any questions. She was a real credit to the hotel.
Unfortunately, that's where the positives largely ended. The rooms are tired, dated, and in need of significant maintenance. During our stay we experienced the following issues:
• We were initially given the wrong rooms and had to move after the first night.
• The air conditioning had no working remote, so it was stuck on a constant setting.
• The air conditioning then began leaking water onto the floor.
• The room safes were either locked open or locked closed and couldn't be used.
• There was little or no hot water in the showers for much of our stay.
• One shower had no way of securing the shower head to the wall.
• An electrical socket was hanging off the wall in the shower, which wasn't ideal from a safety perspective.
• Cupboard handles were hanging off.
• Several lights in the rooms didn't work.
• The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet properly.
• The swimming pool was closed for an entire morning for cleaning. While maintenance is understandable, it would have been helpful to have been informed in advance.
• Refused water in the dinning area outside of hours.
We raised many of these issues with the hotel, but after a while we decided to stop complaining as it was beginning to affect our enjoyment of the holiday.
Overall, this hotel has enormous potential because of its stunning beachfront location. With investment in the rooms, better maintenance, and improvements to the all-inclusive food and drink offering, it could be a fantastic place to stay. Sadly, in its current condition, it fell well short of our expectations.

Great quiet location, meals were excellent and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We would stay again if we come back to Greece.
