Lovely hotel
Used this hotel as a base in Megara whilst attending a family wedding.
The rooms were clean and functional and the staff extremely helpful and attentive.
Ideally, we would have liked to have had a kettle in the room and some way of controlling the lights from the bed, but these are minor niggles.
Would make a great place to stop over between Athens and the Peloponnese.

We had an absolutely exceptional stay at Megara Hotel in Megara! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel’s sleek, ultra-modern design and attention to detail. Everything felt fresh, stylish, and beautifully maintained, creating a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere.
Our room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. We would have loved complimentary coffee, water and a fridge in the room though, but nevertheless still a good experience.
The hotel offers the perfect balance between modern comfort and warm hospitality. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with a smile.
Megara Hotel was the perfect base for our experience in Megara, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a contemporary, comfortable, and high-quality stay in Greece. We would gladly return again! 🇬🇷✨

A kinky experience
I booked seven rooms in this particular hotel for my relatives, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Of the seven rooms, six did not have a refrigerator – something obvious in 2025, especially in summer, let alone when two guests with health problems needed it.
In one room there were bare wires that had not been repaired, which is a serious security issue. In addition, no room had an inside table or chair, except one where the table was broken. In all rooms there were no slippers and there was constant confusion with towels and shampoos.
When I asked for explanations, the answers were at least unfortunate: for the slippers it was said that "it is not their job" and for the rest that "the owner has made a big investment" and "the money was not being spent on more equipment". However, these are not about the customer; some things are obvious.
The check-in was also problematic: while I was contacted the day before about the procedures, there was a mess with the beds and it took over 90 minutes to delay, resulting in my work being delayed.
Finally, despite the already many problems, the owner assigned us responsibility for damage to a shower, while the bathrooms were equipped with poor quality phones and worn off by previous uses that broke with the slightest pressure.
The overall experience was unpleasant and I would not choose it again. Better a hotel or rbnb a few kilometers outside the Megara than something incomplete with elemental shortcomings in the prices of a regular hotel.

Κατανοούμε ωστόσο ότι η εικόνα τους δεν ήταν αισθητικά η καλύτερη.
Ειλικρινά, λυπούμαστε που η εμπειρία σας δεν ήταν η ιδανική.

Almost everything perfect
Given that the hotel is perfect in every component, I find to say on an affective issue. We booked one night stating that we would arrive by bike and therefore asked for a safe place for our 2 bikes. The answer was this:"You could store your bikes in the backyard, there is CCTV coverage."
Not knowing what CCTV coverage was I didn't worry as my booking was for a room with a private garden so I thought I could put it in the private garden. Actually they gave me a room on the 1st floor with balcony and therefore, since the very kind lady at the reception did not allow me to take the bikes on the balcony I had to leave them in CCTV coverage which, was nothing but the back of the hotel indoors but not indoors and therefore anyone could come and get them. Now you understand that for a cyclist to leave his bike without a case is like for a customer to leave his dog outside the hotel in the open countryside. I conclude that we left Venice to arrive in Athens and the Megara Hotel despite being one of the most beautiful hotels we visited during our trip was also the only one that did not understand the situation.

Rooms still under construction
Very hard to find. Friendly Welcoming but the upstairs rooms lack lights next to the bed. There's an electric cable coming out of the wall. No fridge. If the rooms stay in work, you have to reduce prices. Low-end breakfast, only industrial products.
