Definitely we will go again next year for more than 6 days

Excellent location and view, excellent service, very safe environment, owner Mr Alexandros amazing no words he went fishing for us and cooked us fresh fishes and pizzas. He advised us the best places and restaurants to go to. I had flat tire and he changed it for me. The room is equipped with everything possible as we were at home.

Disappointing stay - Problems, poor infrastructure and rude

We booked at ikaria Studios and our experience was full of problems. In short:
​ants in bed: We realized it the first morning, since we had practically already slept with them, as most of them were gathered under our pillows! We were forced to make a "patent" by putting the feet of the bed in a taper with water to calm down the rest of the days.
​Unreasonable air conditioning management: The controller was literally screwed to the wall with a box, set at 26°C (too cold to sleep). To sleep like humans (and make more savings) I put it at 30°C with my phone’s infrared. Of course we always closed it when we left, as asked.
​Cold Water & Noise: We were never informed that the heater was lit by a switch outside the room, resulting in a cold bath for two nights. Also, from 8 a.m., the plumbers made an evocative noise every time he opened a fountain in any room.
​Agenia owner: The peak was the last day at 9:00 in the morning. The owner knocked on the door, woke us up suddenly and started yelling at me because we had the AC open in the evening! While we had already spoken five times in the past few days, he suddenly decided that I was Italian and was yelling at me in Italian.
​Location: Tragic. It only works for Seychelles. For anything else worth on the island, you need at least 1 hour drive.
​I do not recommend it in any case if you are looking for tranquility and relaxing holidays.

Booking disagreement

I’m not sure if this should be a Booking.com issue or Ikaria Studios issue. I booked a room at Ikaria Studios via Booking.com and received a confirmation. Within an hour I received a message from Ikaria Studios saying that I needed to cancel my reservation as this room had already been booked. I must not have refreshed my screen. They would help me find another accommodation but I had to cancel my room. I’m perplexed because it wouldn’t have let me book it the room was not available. I did cancel the reservation because I didn’t want to show up on an island and not have accommodation nor have any potential issues. I’m extremely disappointed in this situation. If this is a Booking.com issue, then it would be my second issue using them. If it’s an Ikaria Studios issue, then this is not filoxenia.

Top!! Excellent greek hospitality!! Mr Alekos guarantees the best stay in Ikaria! Very clean and functional room , best view and the best sea in Ikaria, best prices and best advice to discover all beauties in Ikaria! I can’ t wait for our next visit here!!

Απογοητευτικό!

Φτάνοντας και έχοντας ήδη ενημερώσει ότι θα έχουμε μαζί σκύλο (έγραφε ότι ήταν φιλικό προς τα κατοικίδια) μας έβαλε τις φωνές και είπε ότι δεν μπορούμε να έχουμε τόσο μεγάλο σκυλί και τι το θέλουμε στο ταξίδι και ήθελε να μας δώσει πίσω τα χρήματα για να φύγουμε. Εν τέλει, μας άφησε να μείνουμε, αλλά ήταν αγενής και απότομος. Όχι ιδιαίτερα καθαρό δωμάτιο και κανένα είδους φροντίδας του δωματίου όσες μέρες μείναμε. Το σώζει λίγο ο κύριος που εργάζεται στα δωμάτια που ήταν πολύ φιλικός και γλυκός. Δεν το συνιστώ με τίποτα!
