Our lovely stay at Olympus Studio Rooms Malia
My friends and I were trying to find a place to stay for our graduation vacation. We found Olympus Studio Rooms on Booking, but we didn't want to book online. It's very easy to find their personal telefone number so I suggest you text them privately. The hosts were more than perfect. They are friendly, funny, VERY trustworthy and overall just the best people you could stay with. They will give you suggestions on where to eat or what activities you can do around the area. I've never felt so welcomed anywhere on vacation, they've made us all feel so safe and we are so grateful for them. We had lots of fun thanks to the husband and wife who run these rooms. If you want to stay near the beach, I beg you to stay here, you will have the best experiences. And definitely engage with the hosts, best company ever. The price was also more than reasonable. It's was so lovely and we are so sad to go home.

Bad experience
Really terrible staff, grumpy especially absurd character they have, "private room" that is not. The only positive thing is the jacuzzi. Misleading photos, 3mx3m pool, photos of the pool made with wide angle camera. Be careful not to dirty anything or else you have to pay case. The owner a great coffee. I recommend if you are among friends do not go, despite having cars we were away from everything especially from the center of malia. Cheap given the location in the countryside. Room for 4 people equal to room for 2, of course the clutter increases, which of course the owners did not understand. Moreover we slept on two yellow mattresses, for old age and since we accidentally soiled it with fruit we had to pay 300€, despite the mattress being yellow. The toilet clogs easily because they have the pipes connected badly. Kitchen not stocked, there are only two stoves in room 4 and only one in room 2. The owner made a big scene especially in tears to pay for the mattress when we were not obliged to pay for it, threatening to kick us out of the house “illegally”. Go to other options or you will regret it

Dear Diego,
We are very sorry to disappoint you. You forgot to mention that you were a group of 6 people and the policy of the accommodation is NO parties. Every night until 02:00 you had a party with your friends and the rest guests ( with babies as well) were complaining. The cover mattress you paid was Guy Laroche duck's further and got dirty with blood (or with a cherry as you excused). Of course such damages and parties aren't allowed in Olympus Studios since we are an accomodation of family-friendly. The youngs are more than welcome, but surely they have to follow the rules. The owner went in tears, when she saw the very dirty and ugly situation you had made and all the rude and ironic comments you made. The cherry on the top was the very nice phrase of " F@@@ @@@" in your language, whjch it happens to be understood. Such aditute is surely NOT accepted. Breakings, damages, parties until early in the morning, insolving comments, no respect for other guests are to permitted.
So is totally legally to call the policy and got you out. When you visit a hotel you rent the property , you are not buy it!
Nevertheless, we post you the invoice of what you paid.
We still have photos of all the above as a proof of all the damages.
We are a very honest and friendly people and we wish to be treated with respect....

Holidays with friends
Like home, only nicer. We stayed as a family with Giannis, Iliana and Vicky. We did not feel there as a guest, we were from the 1st. Day after day as welcome as if we had already been there 100x. A very nice, lovingly maintained and very nicely decorated complex. The hosts have grown very close to our hearts in the 12 days. The rooms are very well maintained, clean and top equipped. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. Thanks for the wonderful time.

I recommend
We liked the availability of our hosts, very kind and with little care. The studio is equipped with everything necessary. The beach is 5 minutes walk from the studio, good taverns are nearby. The pool is very nice. The beach is beautiful. The battery of our rental car was out of Service and Giannis offered us his help by connecting his vehicle to ours to start it (3 times). I recommend this property

Disappointed
Olympus studio Malia Potamos Crete Iliana and Giannis owners
I stayed 2 weeks ,the property was empty ,although the website was advertising “ 1 room left “
The property has not the beach in front ,there is a slight vu of the sea ,from far away ,going and coming to and from the beach takes 15 minutes one way
Limited kitchen supply ,1 stove
The property is quite far from center ,pharmacies ,restaurants and shops ,very tiring to walk and come back and there are streets dogs on your way ,that follow you relentless
The entry of the property is not locked during the day nor during the night
I was informed about 1 dog at the property but there were 3 dogs that were loosing hair on the floor….the front and back garden are quite dirty
The bathroom of my room with musty odor ,in the room ,I was invaded by worms ,spiders ,mosquitos and cockroaches ...and after 7 days I was bitten by one of them and got infected ,my hand was swollen
No commitment from Iliana or her husband Giannis ..I have lost 3 days in order to find out where can I be seen by a doctor
At my departure I asked the owner if I can use the toilet ,before the transfer to the airport ,the owner said I can use it if I pay one more day
The price per day was 35 euros what I paid cash weekly ,when at the end , I asked for the receipt I was told I can have it if I add 5 more euros per day to the sum already paid and to my surprise at the check out I was asked 32 euros more as tourist taxes ( that has not mentioned at the time of our private booking) once more i was refused the receipt

Dear Flavia.
You knew very well where you were coming, since you visit the resort one year before and you had a look, that's how you book and choose your studio. It was when 2 other hotels in Malia got you out of the property, but at that time I had no availability.
The infection came because you were bitten by the prickly pears you cut without asking other 's people property. And although you had health insurance, you didnt want to pay the taxi to the hospital, but you demand me to give you a drive and take a day off my work. There is a medical center in Malia that I gave you a lift, but hospital is 40 min driving each way... After you drive them crazy and I felt so ashamed.... they sent you to the hospital of Agios Nikolaos....
In your departure day I cleaned the public toilet so you can use it but you refused. You couldn't keep the studio since I had a new arrival.
You also forgot to mention that my neighbors were very angry with you, because without their permission you were getting in the around properties and taken their groceries as potatoes, cucumber, tomatoes and pickle pears.
Is strange though that in all my reviews Noone ever wrote anything about cockroaches or worms.... I suppose you took photos of this dirty place.... If not... I have to say you lie, since by the low we do dissection every month and I have invoices.
The government tax, that you didnt want to pay, is international in all the hotels and apts. You normally pay by the time of arrival but since every day you were avoiding, we end up to chase you 10 min before you leave... and after you called me all king of names you paid one quarter of it, since in Spain was 0,50 € and I was asking 2€!!!!
The only truth is that we have 2 dogs and at that time an other guest had one as well. It happens to adore animals..... With people is sometimes difficult to communicate....
