Great for our girls holiday☀️
this place is in the perfect location right by the strip yet we all felt so safe, there is 2 diffrent types of accommodation so make sure you book with the newly established ones as they are so modern and clean, the staff were lovely, vibes were high by the pool, tbh no point paying extra for breakfast because you just don’t get up for it also there’s a set menu so if your fussy your better of going to the super market or a cafe there’s loads right by the hotel
only down side about the place is that you have to pay extra for aircon so keep that In mind (€8 per night) also bring extra money for the tax when you get there

Angry pool woman
The hotel itself was lovely and represented good value for the price. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and overall we enjoyed our stay.
Unfortunately, our experience with some of the staff, particularly the woman who appeared to be the owner or manager, significantly affected our overall impression. Throughout our stay she was consistently unfriendly and seemed determined to find issues with guests rather than provide a welcoming atmosphere.
Our group was told that ball games were not permitted in the pool, despite several other groups doing the same without being spoken to. We were informed that this rule was displayed on a list of hotel regulations; however, we were unable to find any such notice during our stay.
On our final day, we were told that we were welcome to remain by the pool and use the facilities until our transfer arrived. However, when we sat by the pool, we were immediately approached and instructed that we had to leave our bags in an unsecured area, as we were not allowed to keep them with us. This seemed unnecessary and left us feeling uncomfortable.
We were also informed that guests are not permitted to consume their own food or drinks by the pool. While we understand that hotels may have policies regarding outside food and beverages, the rule was enforced in a way that felt unreasonable and was not communicated clearly in advance.
Overall, the hotel itself is attractive and offers good value for money. However, the attitude and approach of one member of staff created an unwelcoming atmosphere that detracted from what could otherwise have been an excellent stay. It is disappointing because this is a hotel that could otherwise be highly recommended, particularly for families.

Disappointing and not what was advertised.
We stayed here in July, and while the location was great if you’re looking to be close to the nightlife, we don’t have many other positives to mention. The room looked nothing like what was advertised and was very disappointing. Breakfast was included, but it was consistently cold and underwhelming. We also had to pay extra for the air conditioning even though it was listed on the booking, which only worked in one room and even then performed very poorly. The 30°C heat outside felt like Antarctica compared to our sauna of a room. If you’re a girl wanting to stay here, don’t because I promise you you will sweat your makeup off before you even leave. There was also a large, very questionable brown stain on one of the curtains, which, safe to say, we had no desire to investigate further. Our towels were supposed to be changed every three days, but this didn’t happen once during our stay nor did our room get cleaned (not sure it ever has given the stains we found on the mattress). On top of that, staff were rarely around the hotel, making it difficult to get help when we needed it. The bathroom floods everytime you shower and the mop is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Overall, aside from the convenient location, our experience was disappointing and we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Beautiful
We had an amazing stay at Danaides Hotel and would definitely recommend it!
Our room was immaculate throughout our stay, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job every day. The lady who cleaned our room, with the beautiful, was especially lovely and always greeted us with a smile.
The hotel offers excellent value for money. The air conditioning worked perfectly (which was a lifesaver in the heat!), the shower was great, and all of the facilities were clean and well maintained. The pool area is lovely, with plenty of sun loungers available throughout the day, so there was never any need to wake up early and reserve one with a towel.
The food was also amazing, and every member of staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They genuinely care that guests have a good time and enjoy their stay, and they were always understanding and happy to help with any questions or requests.
The location is fantastic, especially for a girls’ holiday or young adults looking to enjoy Malia’s nightlife. It’s right next to the strip, making everything very convenient. I’d say it’s best suited to guests aged around 18–25. The only thing to note is that families with young children may prefer somewhere further from the strip due to the lively location, but that’s not a reflection of the hotel itself.
Overall, we had a brilliant stay and would happily return. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable!

Great stay but some points to be improved
We got a very warm welcome form the Team, breakfast are great with various choices, and if you want some snacks at the Mango bar, the place is also great.
Some details to improve:
- the hotel location is not indicated, you should follow Mango bar which is part of the hotel
- there is air conditioning in the living room but not in the sleeping room
- if you book a suite like we did please be careful the sofa in the living room is a sofa not a convertible sofa as a bed
- don't be afraid by the parking of the hotel which is not also indicated as it is a wasteland
If you are coming to Malia to enjoy night life this hotel is the place to be, if not be aware is a bit noisy
