Hotel Ikaros
Ikaros Hotel may not be the most luxurious hotel on Zakynthos, but what truly makes this place special is the people. Any small imperfections are completely overshadowed by the incredible kindness, warmth, and genuine care of the staff. They made us feel welcome from the very first day and always went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. A special thank you to William, Ahmed, Vasilis, and Manthola. Your smiles, positive attitude, and exceptional hospitality are the reason these holidays will stay in our memories for a long time. Thank you for making our stay so special. We would happily come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place with a truly amazing team.

Extremely disappointing — not worth the money
Extremely disappointing — not worth the money
I am utterly disappointed with our stay at Ikaros. We paid for a standard room and, quite honestly, even our expectations for a “standard” room were nowhere near met. The condition of the room and the overall hotel was absolutely appalling and, at times, felt genuinely unhygienic.
As soon as we checked into the room, we discovered that the advertised WiFi did not work in our room. There was no TV remote, the hairdryer did not work, and the towels provided were nothing more than hand towels. Trying to dry yourself after a shower with tiny hand towels is ridiculous and completely unacceptable.
The longer we stayed, the more problems we discovered. There was an unbelievable amount of limescale covering the taps, making the bathroom look dirty and neglected. One of the drawers was faulty and the knob simply fell off. The balcony door was broken, the doors throughout the room were in a terrible state with paint peeling away, and the balcony table was literally broken and being held up against the railing to stop it from falling.
The bathroom was particularly disgusting. Whenever we showered, the dirty shower water and bubbles would come back up through the drain and flood the bathroom floor. This left us standing in our own dirty shower water, which was not only unpleasant but felt completely unhygienic. How this is considered an acceptable condition for paying guests is beyond me.
To make matters worse, the entire hotel constantly smelled of cigarettes. It was unpleasant from the moment we arrived and continued throughout our stay.
We also paid for all-inclusive, which was extremely misleading compared with what we expected. There were only four alcoholic drinks to choose from, with cocktails completely excluded. Between meals, there were no snacks available unless we paid extra. The food itself was terrible and seemed to be almost exactly the same every day. There was very little variety and the quality was nowhere near what we would expect from an all-inclusive holiday.
Overall, I feel completely let down and disgusted by the condition of the room, the lack of basic facilities, the hygiene issues and the poor quality of the all-inclusive offering. We paid good money expecting at least a basic level of comfort and cleanliness, and instead spent our holiday dealing with problems that should never have been acceptable in the first place.
I would not recommend Ikaros based on our experience. This was supposed to be a relaxing holiday, but the state of the accommodation and the poor all-inclusive service made the whole experience incredibly disappointing. For the money we paid, we expected considerably better.

SAVE YOUR MONEY
Terrible experience they give you dog food to eat the all inclusive thing was terrible and disgusting they cook the same meal for 3 days and give it to you dirty food the beers and everything about drinking was terrible too we drinkt 20 beers they say the beers have alcohol but it was just terrible.DONT DRINK ANYTHING .

Pure dead brilliant stay in Laganas – Best part o' our trip to Greece!
Oor stay at this hotel in Laganas, Zakynthos was easily the best bit o' our whole trip to Greece!
The Staff (Absolute Legends):
What really made this place proper special was the staff:
William (Reception): A dead friendly and sound lad. Aye happy to help anyone, always smiling, and would go out o' his way to sort ye out.
Ahmed: Total character! Always havin’ a laugh and turning your mood around with his jokes and good chat.
The pair o' them together give the place a crackin' vibe that makes the whole hotel summat special!
The Grub: Absolutely belter! Everything was fresh, plenty of choices, and top quality.
Wi-Fi: Nae internet in the rooms, mind, but if ye’re spending most o’ your time out and about, it’s grand value for money.
The only thing that really got our goat was the night-shift worker. He was out smoking marijuana at night, had nae respect for the guests, and was always right grumpy. Definitely summat the management need to sort out;
Apart frae that, everything else was magic and we’ll mind this trip forever. We’d love to come back again!
