Impression

The hotel was very nice. Food very nice. Everywhere clean. Sea excellent. Beach clean and not very crowded. Staff of the hotel was very nice, majority were of Albanian nationality, very positive and they spoke several languages. Greeks very also very nice. Animators were also very good, including the programme for children.

Don’t expect a lot!

We stayed in Aristoteles beach hotel for seven nights, 4 adults and 2 kids. We have been reading TripAdvisor reviews which seams to be a bit ingenious. We dint have any great expectations but still we were a bit unpleasantly surprised. Upon the arrival we got rooms on the edge of the hotel (the problem is not the ‘edge’), where rooms were not refurbished or any way improved. We asked specifically to have rooms next to each other, but we were told that hotel is fully booked and we got rooms on different floors ( we have booked rooms in February). The corner buildings were really unsupervised, plasters were hanging out, window frames were stripped of paint. Both rooms looked so different! One was in harsh green color, the other one had a black feature wall. The most horrific was the smell from the bathroom. Bathrooms didn’t have any window (only a vent shaft), no shower curtains, they was wet and slippery. They looked like they have been showered just before we arrived. There were facial hair on the glass shelve in the bathroom, and all room was very poorly cleaned all week! We had to ask them to change our towels and bedding was not changed at all. There was an electric socket hanging, very dangerous for kids. Food was ok for 3 stars. There was usually lack of meat and you had to lurk around when more meat was brought. The guests in the restaurant were really rude, filling their plates like they have never eaten, then they left a lot leftovers. The waiters worked very hard and were polite. Animation team was great and they kept kids occupied all the time, either with kids club or on the beach. We stayed at the pool only one day as beach and sea was better. Music next to the pool was good though. The beach was pretty full and you had to reserve your sunbeds at 7-8am, if you wanted to lay close to the sea. There were only few places with easy access to the sea, especially for kids. You had to have shoes. Water was really warm, and relatively clean, random seaweeds when it was windy. The bar next to the beach was very nice too. Friendly staff, serving you smile. They had the best Greek cider, Milo Kleftis. We walked to Lidl twice but it is a dangerous track, wouldn’t do it in the dark. To sum it up, Aristoteles beach hotel was a well run down place, it needed a massive refresh. But you got what you paid for so you had to accept few problems. The surrounding area was nice, great views but for a week it was too long to stay without car. We wouldn’t return.

not a 4 stars hotel

The rooms are small and very simple for this to be a 4 star hotel. They dinn't even have shampoo in the bathroom, just a small soap. The sheets and towels were never changed in my 5 days stays. They didn't offer extra towels for the beach/pool. This are all thing that i have found in other 4 stars hotels. The view from the stairs was disgusting: garbage thrown into the park nearby.
The alcoholic drinks offered in the all inclusive price were the lowest quality you could ever find
Tha A/C was very weak and the tv didn't work.
The entertainment program was very, very poor to say the least.
The food was ok, but too many recycled leftovers,
Also they also should do something about the mosquitos
The only good things were the staff that was very polite and the room view of the sea
