Lovely and lively hotel

The hotel is super central, so there are many places to go grab some food and have a good time. If you walk out of the hotel and walk all the way down, you'll find a bakery in the corner which is absolutely wonderful.
The room we stayed had air-conditioning and a minifridge with a freezer which was lifesaver.

Better than expected

I was surprised because actually the hotel is better than expected. It’s clean and when I entered my room it smelled nice. Personnel is friendly. Man who I talked to (Giannis) was curious about my travel plans and shared hints and tips with me. I see people do efforts and respect privacy. This I appreciate a lot. I was allowed to store my luggage here after checkout. Downstairs there’s a bar which serves tasty souvlaki and gyros. In the area there are plenty of coffee shops, some are also open 24/7. Overall very nice stay and I recommend to next travelers.

Centrally located hotel

The George Hotel is full of charming character.
It is family run establishment that is located in the centre of Kalamata.
Staff are nice and friendly.
The bedroom was very small, not enough space even for a refrigerator.
No breakfast but many cafes nearby.

A cheap hotel in central Kalamata

Good location near the city centre and railway station (opposite), but a long way (30 minutes by foot) from bus station; Noisy area at night; No lift; Good value for money in low season (it was not full, so I was given a double room for the price of a single); Nice staff; Wifi slow; No breakfast (but there are many bars and restaurants around)

Very friendly, cheap room in Central Kalamata

I just stayed one night in Hotel George, but it served me perfectly. An old establishment, however the rooms were very clean and the staff super friendly and helpful.
I was offered 2 rooms a twin for 35 and a single for 30 euros. I went for the single as it was quieter and when I checked out they told me it was only 20 euros! I happily paid 30 and would gladly return again.
