We had a really nice stay at Dionysos Hotel. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful pool area and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great.

Sunbathing stops at 6pm sharp!
For us, this was the biggest downside of the hotel and something we had never experienced before. Every day at 6:00 pm, guests were asked to leave the pool area as it closes. Staff stand over you asking you to gather your belongings and move out of the area which felt just wrong.
While you could move to the bar area, it was completely in the shade, so it wasn’t really an attractive alternative. Our only other option was to return to our room. We didn’t even want to use the pool at that stage. We simply wanted to relax on the sunbeds as did a number of other guests. Around 6:00 pm the temperature is much more comfortable, and it’s the perfect time to unwind before getting ready for dinner. We had no intention of staying there for hours.
We queried this at reception because it just seemed so unusual, but the response was quite dismissive. We were simply told those were the rules. Had we known about this policy before booking, we would not have chosen this hotel.
It also affects the overall holiday atmosphere. By around 5:30 pm you’re already aware that the pool area is about to close, and you find yourself checking the time instead of simply enjoying the evening.
Another odd experience occurred when I was sitting in the otherwise empty bar seating next to the pool area while taking a phone call. A waiter asked if I wanted to order anything, and when I said no, he reminded me that the seats I was using were for bar customers. Considering the entire area was empty, it felt unnecessarily inflexible and left a rather strange impression. The pool music on repeat and at times was somewhat of a headache. So overall it was just fine but not aligned with what we paid for ten days in terms of expectation.

Loved it!
What a lovely hotel! We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment which was spacious, clean and had daily housekeeping service. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, reception were fantastic and were always happy to help with any queries or book taxis for us.
The pool area was clean and spacious, it was good to see the 'no reserving sunbeds' policy was followed. The hotel gardens were beautiful and had a tropical feel to them. Food and drink options were great, plenty of choice at breakfast, a lovely spacious bar area and the poolside restaurant had an excellent mix of dishes.
Some have commented about the decoration, it was more traditional, but as a result felt more authentic.
The hotel has it's own mini supermarket which is well stocked with souvenirs, drinks, snacks and toiletries. There's a cash machine too. In terms of location, great selection of restaurants and shops within 15 minute walk along the beachfront.

Relaxing family holiday
Just spent a lovely week here in the sun. Hotel - extremely clean, old fashioned feel but very well designed. All staff were so lovely and friendly. Really appreciated the room upgrade and the little touches like a razor, a shoe horn, and lovely toiletries. Even the bed sheets smelled lovely. Only negative was the shower, it was fairly basic and had a curtain that kept sticking to me.
Pool - just great, very long with lots of little bridges and islands to swim around. Loads of sunbeds available at 9:30am, unlike many hotels, as you’re not allowed to reserve and disappear. Swim-up bar serving great passion fruit daiquiris and a nice crepe bar.
Food - breakfast was amazing, warmed pastries, yoghurts, fresh fruit, fresh bread all great. Juice cartons placed on ice, little touches. Chicken Souvlaki at the pool snack bar was amazing.
Location - only a few nice restaurants nearby (Amalfi Coast - wow) so repeated a few times, pebbly beach over a very busy road, beautiful sunsets. Tried to get the bus to the Old Town but they were always full, so ended up getting a taxi after an hour’s wait. Nice trip out though. Only a few small supermarkets nearby, not many shops.
Overall, great hotel to relax in, great weather, really enjoyed it.

A week of pure relaxation at the Dionysus Hotel in Rhodes ☀️
We stayed as a couple for a week and we were really satisfied. The hotel is very well-maintained, with a spectacular lagoon pool that makes the atmosphere even more pleasant and relaxing.
The staff was always kind, helpful, and attentive to the guests' needs. The location is one of its strengths: convenient for reaching the city of Rhodes and also perfect for choosing from many restaurants nearby.
Every evening a different event is organized, a detail that makes the stay more pleasant without being intrusive.
A super relaxing week, in a pleasant environment and with all the necessary services for a truly successful vacation. Recommended for those looking for relaxation, comfort, and a good base for discovering Rhodes.
