Great place to stay in Vathi
Stayed here 4 nights. Very clean and spacious, extremely comfortable bed, very well equipped. Ideal location overlooking the sea. Lovely little cafe at end of street. 10/15 walk to centre of town. 10 mins nearest mini market, bit of a trek to carry water etc. All in all wonderful stay. Would return and recommend

Unreliable, rude and completely unprofessional, the owner kept the deposit for our stay although she didn't provide the room. After reading more reviews on Google I’m convinced it’s a practice she follows on purpose and continuously.
The reservation was actually made through Booking.com with a deposit for half of the stay, and in a phone call prior to our trip, she assured us that the balance could be paid upon departure in cash or by any other method we chose. However, upon arriving at the island, we were met with an unpleasant surprise: our reservation had been canceled. Needless to say, the room was already given to another guest. On top of that she “bragged” that the deposit was lost and non-refundable.
Apparently it was a mistake from our side that we didn’t call the police on the spot as we should have.
Unfortunately, Booking.com does not allow reviews without a stay, which explains the positive reviews she has received, contrary to the low rating on Google. Such actions by unscrupulous individuals trying to increase their profits through unethical means, during the peak season, stain the highly expected vacation and inevitably the image of the visiting place. These actions can only be condemned and should be reported to prevent recurring situations.
I want to believe that these particular owners (mother and son) are the exception to the rule. In conclusion, the island is a terrestrial paradise, and although we had to find two different accommodations during our stay, our interaction with the subsequent owners left us with the best possible impressions, and we will for sure visit again in the future.

Ms Helena the Deceiver
Ms. Elena is an unreliable professional who ruined my vacation. I made the mistake of booking my apartment over the phone (2 months before my vacation started), and shortly after my vacation began, she canceled my reservation because she had given it to other customers. Especially for us Greeks, it is a shame to support such insensitive hoteliers; we must realize that they do not want us on their islands! Ms. Elena, thank you for ruining my vacation. I wish you good luck in your business.

Fabulous place to stay
Stayed here for 2 night in early September. The room is very clean and looks fairly new. Well appointed with a lovely bathroom.
The balcony is large with lovely views and the bouncy chair is surprisingly good fun.
The hosts are very professional and provide everything without encroaching on your space.
Near to Vathi centre with a lovely shore side walk. Also a parking space right outside.
Would recommend this accommodation without question.
On return to Ithaka, I will stay here again.

A welcome return to Vathi and these apartments by 2 Senior Travellers.
We celebrated our Golden Wedding anniversary in September.We first found these apartments 30years ago.Christophe then was about 10 yrs.old.We promised ourselves one day to return to this beautiful Island.As we are now 75yrs.old it was with some apprehension that we planned our journey.It worked perfectly.We spent 13 days on this amazing ,peaceful Island.It was Heaven and we plan to return next year.The Owners were so helpful and friendly.The apartment was spotless,cleaned daily and frequent linen changes.Thank you SO much for your kindness.
