Well equipped apartments with sea view
Well equipped apartments located on the sea front. The one bedrooms apartment was spacious and clean and the kitchen was fully equipped for a self catering holiday. Unfortunately we only stayed one night! A good buffet continental breakfast is provided in the nearby Nostos restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful. We would certainly return if visiting the area again.

Best in Georgioupolis
Fantastic immaculate clean studios, we have been coming to Georgioupolis on and off since 1987 and these are one of the best, it's not five star because it's not on the beach like alot of the big ones but we prefer this, it's more cosy and Greek, the people who own it are lovely, so helpful, I definitely in my opinion with give this five stars, lovely little touches, welcome pack, cleaning stuff etc. Beds great, WiFi great, cleaned regular, the cleanest place we have stayed in, will be back, love it,all the shops tavernas on your doorstep, lovely bakery as well, thank you to the owners for making our stay the best,

Avoid absolutely.
We had come several years ago when the property was run by Sofia and it was really very good. The place was covered with flowers, Georges, Sofia's husband, offered us his grapes and, above all, it was very clean and very nice. We were extremely disappointed because it got worse. The new owner is very nice but the cleaning is no longer done every day; the garbage cans, which are small, are very quickly full which is unpleasant and unhealthy; there is not always hot water in the shower... In addition, you can no longer see the sea from the balconies with all the new constructions. Frankly, there is really better for the same price in Georgioupoli.

Great location, excellent service
Sofias is central georgioupoli but tucked away from main rds and noisyness. Fab bakers one end of lane and beach the other. Spotlessly cleaned daily, fresh linen n towels every 3 days, lovely little lush tiled n plant potted entrance, 11 out of 10!

September break in Georgioupolis
Stayed at Sofia Studios & Apartments for the last 2 weeks of September.Self catering is the only option here which suited us fine as we like to sample a different Taverna every night of our 14 night stay and in Georgioupolis ,there are so many that we didn't get to visit them all.
Arrived quite late after a problem with our Jet2 plane at Manchester so worried there would be no one there but Nektaria had left directions to our room and the keys were in the door. Inside water and Raki had been left for us and sweets and snacks.The studios are spacious with all you need for our kind of holiday.We had requested a upper floor with bathtub and that is what we got. The balcony was South facing and got the sun from dawn to dusk, it had a table and chairs and a drying rack where we could dry our towels and beach stuff.
Situated down a side alley off the road these apartments were lovely and quiet at night and only a 5 minute walk to the square where the bars and restaurants are and a similar distance to the beach which stretches for miles. There were many good beach bars if you walked a little way to the right offering 2 beds+umbrella for 6 euros with 2 free drinks(why lie on your towel),the sea was calm gently sloping sands ,very safe and lifeguards on duty at regular intervals along the beach.
There was plenty to do in Georgioupolis ,the little trains that you find in Crete will either take you on a day trip at a reasonable price or up to Lake Kournas where you can spend an enjoyable day.If you like walking,hop over the coast road and you are out in the olive groves and can wander around the country lanes for hours.
Kostas and Nektaria were excellent hosts and everything was kept spotless.we were given a little going away present and even came out to show great concern when our transfer was late so i would have no hesitation in recommending Sofia studios and apartments for a stay in Georgioupolis.
