An excellent spot!
Fodele is a great location, calm and relaxing. The rooms are spacious and cleaning is done everyday. The food is very good and you can eat all day long. Both 3 restaurants (italian, greek and grill) do specific cooking and the all-day buffet is top notch. There is a private beach with parasols, sun loungers and sun beds. The pools are large, but you still have to put up with the sunbed squatters who stake their claim with towels as soon as the area opens (management should do something about that).
There is a bus station next to the hotel (40min to Heraklion).
Overall i had an excellent experience with may family.

An absolute healing touch by Vicky at the spa
I just finished a wonderful spa treatment with Vicky at our hotel, and I couldn't be happier. Vicky has an incredible touch—it’s remarkably gentle, yet strong exactly where and when it’s needed. The entire experience was deeply relaxing and completely released all my tension. You can truly feel that she does everything with love and care. I felt completely wrapped in warmth and stepped out feeling like a brand new person. If you are staying here, you must book a treatment with her. Thank you, Vicky!

Nice stay, but there are a few things that needs improvement.
Hello, I wrote the following message to Teta while I was at the hotel.
In addition to the message below, I don’t understand why there is no orange juice during breakfast. The one that you offer in the machine is so artificial, horrible quality.
Also, the amount of loungers and umbrellas around the pool are not sufficient, not to mention that you have a big plaza, with lots of space to accommodate more sets.
Below the message to Teta:
Hi Teta,
I’d like you to pass this suggestion along to the hotel management. The hotel is really good, but I think this is one thing that’s missing. I’m not saying it needs to have a proper nightclub, but it would be great to have some music and a place where guests can socialize and enjoy themselves until around midnight. Nowadays, the vast majority of resorts and hotels have a DJ playing in the evening, creating a relaxed atmosphere where guests can stay together after dinner.
You have to admit that closing the bars at 11:00 p.m. and having nothing to do afterward is a bit too early for people who are on vacation.
Overall, I’m enjoying our stay. I hope you’ll take this suggestion as constructive feedback, because I believe it would make the guest experience even better and make the hotel even more attractive for future visitors.

Excellent! Nice hotel, good foods and drinks, many pools and nice beach. The room we had was a bit small. Good cleaning. The staff is nice and helpful. Recommend a trip to Heraklion and a rental car to Chania/Rethymnon.

Very nice place, with friendly staff and good food
The rooms were modern, the staff was very friendly, especially the ladies at the main Basilikos restaurant and the lifeguards at the water park. They even taught me a few words in greek.
The food was very good, and more than enough. We had no problems in finding food for our 15 months baby. All kinds of deserts are available, and there is theme food every night. You can make reservations during your 7 nights stay at 3 different restaurants: Grill Beach, Italian, and Greek restaurants.
There is a train that takes you from the main restaurant all the way up to the waterpark. At rush hours, it is crowded. You may have to wait for it to return.
The main pool gets crowded very fast, but you can find sunbeds at the beach. The beach is very close to the hotel. The water in July was not the warmest, neither in the pools, nor in the sea. But it is good for a swim.
The beach has some rocks near the shore, so aqua shoes are recommended.
Yes, the rooms are built on a hill, so it is not your classic big hotel layout. But in my opinion, this is what gives the place it’s charm and beauty. The view from the top is awesome ! Very nice and breathtaking viewes from the top, with the beach and the hotel.
