What to say ?
I’ve stayed at this hotel a couple of times on business trips - impeccable. I’m considering going back on a holiday trip because I know that the hotel is good and the food is great. That said, what really makes a hotel is the staff; the team are exceptional from front desk to housekeeping, from the bar and restaurant to the help that you get to park. Can’t fault it, I’m trying to find a way to visit again

Clean and modern hotel and excellent location, a couple minutes walk from the old town streets and harbour area. Friendly staff and small pool area which was hard to find in close vicinity to the old town.
Only minor detractor was lack of bar service at the pool.

Samaria hotel , thank you for welcoming us again . Never disappoints us , been staying with you for many years ( Chania is our stop over on our way to our mini tour to Kastelli / Kissamos 8 days there , then to Paleochora for another 8 nights )
Smooth checking in very friendly & helpful reception . Thank you to all breakfast staff who always helping us what we need for breakfast . Special mentioned to the lovely lady in the picture .

Incredible!
We have been home a week now after a week at Samaria Hotel, and without a doubt it was the best holiday my friend and I have ever had.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with comfortable rooms, an excellent breakfast, and a perfect location within walking distance of both the Old Town and the harbour. It was the ideal base for exploring Chania.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the incredible hospitality from the staff—especially Theodora.
From the moment we arrived, before we had even checked in, Theodora welcomed us with drinks and sat down to chat with us rather than simply checking us in from behind the reception desk. That small gesture immediately made us feel like valued guests instead of just another booking.
Throughout the week she always took the time to ask how our day had been, what we had bought when we returned from shopping, and what we were planning to do next. She recommended restaurants, beaches and excursions, wrote down places we should visit, and even helped us arrange activities. Her recommendation to book the Nerra Blue Cruises trip to Balos ended up being one of the highlights of our entire holiday.
Theodora made us feel welcome every single day and played a huge part in making our holiday so special.
Everyone we met at the hotel was friendly and professional, but she truly went above and beyond.
We left feeling as though we were saying goodbye to friends rather than checking out of a hotel.
Thank you to everyone at Samaria Hotel for an unforgettable stay. We usually like to try somewhere new each year, but this is one of the very few places we would happily return to without hesitation. We can't wait to come back to Chania, and when we do, we already know where we'll be staying.

Good standard
Nice, modern and well-maintained hotel with very nice and welcoming service and good breakfast. Good beds. Central location, pleasant pool area. Only minus is noise on the terrace from nearby bus station, but it is after all a city hotel.
