Super accommodation in lovely Paleochora

Very, very nice and clean hotel. Very friendly staff. Fantastic fukost! Beautiful pool area with nice plants. Great location near the sandy beach and walking distance to several nice restaurants.

Our second stay here. Excellent location, across road from beach, short walk into centre with nice tavernas, bars, cafes & shops. Comfortable hotel room, good bathroom with powerful shower. Reasonable sized, private balcony with comfortable seating. Nice pool, plenty of sun beds. Breakfast typical Greek hotel variety. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Recommend.

very pleasant hotel which has the ideal location for people interested in Crete

We can recommend this hotel as an excellent hotel. It has a great breakfast for a "Greek" hotel (the Hotel Elman used to be famous for it). It is very clean with very friendly staff. We would like to especially highlight Iannis. The manager (speaks German) and the owner are friendly and helpful and give tips for restaurants and events. It is an ideal hotel for families with small children, a child-safe pool and lots of toys. But we would especially like to mention: it is the absolute best hotel for people who want to get to know a lot of Crete. Because there is a car rental right in the building - it has a parking lot (that is worth a lot in Paleóchora) - it is located at the upper end of the town and therefore you don't have to struggle through the town with the car or look for a parking space. The supermarket is very close by and an excellent pastry shop is not much further. Also, it is only a few steps across the street to the long sandy beach. So, many advantages.
It was the ideal hotel for us and we want to come back!!!
Finally, one very small existing problem (only in our room?). The safe in a box on the floor. You have to kneel when you need money from the safe. Kneeling before the money!?

An oasis of calm

An oasis of calm, ideally located, literally 2 steps from the sea and 3 steps from the city center .
Impeccable hygiene. Pleasant pool.
Convenient snack offer during the afternoon
I am taking off 1 star because the non-renovated part needs... a renovation! The decor is dated, but above all the amenities really need to be updated (air conditioning from another generation, old-fashioned shower, etc.), which hinders comfort a bit. Once this part is renovated, it will be not 5 but 6 stars!
