A little paradise

We are at Naya right now and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the place is really lovely, it is absolutely what we were looking for: quiet, relaxing, on the sea, with simple, but effective Beach Service, a spotless room and very very very nice indeed, a bar restaurant directly on the sea, which is delighting us with excellent typical dishes and what about the friendliness and kindness of all the staff and owner...
I think I found the place of the❤️

One of our most enjoyed places in Crete

Breakfast was perfect, fresh and tasty, the location just next to the beach is sooo beautiful and serene, and the service was friendly and professional.
Certainly a must-have stop on the way to Balos.

Fabulous secluded gem of a place in Kissamos

We visited Naya and stayed for a fabulous week in early September. Booked it based on reviews online and was our first trip to that part of Crete. About an hour drive from Chania and so delighted when we pulled up and discovered that the photos we'd seen were spot on. The bar and rooms are right on the beach, it is secluded, quiet and just gorgeous. We were greeted by the owner's nephew who was really helpful even though he didn't speak as much English as Ares himself, and we being typically English don't speak Greek! Our room was in the newly extended part which is behind the bar area. They've been done out really nicely, very shabby chic, distressed wood flooring and a real ocean feel with the colour scheme. Great en suite with a large walk in shower (never had such a good shower in Greece!). Aircon included and a fridge and kettle etc., so all you need if you've no plans to cook (we like to eat out!). Maid service in the room every day which was brilliant, so many clean towels! Breakfast was great value in the bar at 7 euros for cooked breakfast, yoghurt with honey and nuts, cake (got to love the Greeks!), coffee and fresh orange. We didn't partake every day to avoid quite such a massive weight gain over the week! The beach in front of the bar has more than ample sun beds, well spaced out and hammocks and plenty of shade when it's scorcho. Waiter service on the beach and we were treated to free drinks and meze dishes on many of the afternoons we lazed there. Very safe shelving beach with clear water, just lovely. Visitors were mostly Greek locals, just a few tourists which was lovely. The bar served food all day and into the evening and it was really fresh, tasty and well presented. Ares is a very laid back and hospitable guy and works hard with many late nights in the bar! Just to say the rooms are very sound proof so if late nights aren't your thing you're not disturbed at all. If you fancy cocktails til 5am you can do that too! We tended to drive out in the evening to try out a few of the surrounding tavernas but you could walk into town down the roads, probably about 20 minutes or walk along the beach to Kissamos. Kissamos is a real Greek town, not overrun with tourists or tourism, plenty of normal local activity which we prefer. Some beautiful beaches on the Chania prefecture so if you have a car it is well worth a day out to visit a few too. Would certainly recommend Naya and Kissamos and will definitely return for a super laid back, relaxing week of sun, sand and fabulous Greek hospitality.

Friendly staff, good price, and perfect location!

The location is great. The hotel is just steps away from the beach where you can relax on one of the many sunbeds available and eat a great meal. I would highly recommend the Arab bread with chicken, which was delicious! This area of the beach is also very quiet and relaxing, away from the center of Kissamos, which is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel.
The price for the room is also very reasonable and the accommodation has everything you need for a nice stay. Wifi is also fast and the breakfast is filling.
The staff are very friendly as well. It seems almost as if you're part of the family when you stay here and it's a warm atmosphere.
If in the Kissamos area, I highly recommend staying at Naya!

A time to remember

Well we wanted to visit Crete this year. From previous experience we didn't want to stay in a big city but somewhere between great beaches and civilization. By (pure) luck we chose to stay in kissamos and Naya beach bar. The room was fair, but 20 meters from a blue beach that might not be a match for the islands top beaches (owner's words) but is far better than many you ll probably see on your life (the best beaches you can see in trip advisor world tops). Close to the room but not too close was the Naya beach bar. With comfortable sun beds and 6 hammocks, great food, great coffee, great lounge music, we enjoyed a nice breakfast almost every morning. After we visited every blockbuster beach on the island (balos, saitan limani, falasarna and of course elafonisi). After beachtime we were eating fresh fishes in the 3 local restaurants (akrogiali, maria, captain nikolas) and after that we were returning to the beach bar to cool off. And that's the best part. The owner and his amazing stuff created a bond that exceeds customer care. We became friends and had, for 5 nights in a row, great fun accompanied by great quality drinks and cocktails (try zombie by the hands of Ares) that lasted until 5 o clock in the morning. This was the complete recharging. All of it. I highly recommend this place not only for the combination of utilities, but also for the Cretan hospitality Ares (the owner) and his amazing crew provided
