5 stars- A truly special family run hotel
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this is a family-run hotel where love and passion shine through every detail. Every member of staff was friendly, warm and genuinely welcoming. A special mention has to go to the lovely, engaging man on reception. I wish I could remember his name, but his story says everything; he used to holiday at this very hotel himself, loved it so much he moved to Crete and now works here.
That alone is the best testament to the place.
What I loved most was the chilled, peaceful atmosphere. The hotel sits in a quiet spot with stunning views of both the mountains and the sea. The sunsets were nothing short of spectacular; the kind that make you stop mid-conversation just to take them in.
The hotel is extremely well managed: spotless throughout, calm, organised, and clearly cared for. Our room had a huge, comfortable bed, great air-con and everything we needed.
And then there's the added bonus of Restaurant Theodosi, which is exceptional. Beautiful food, beautiful setting.
For me and my two grown-up kids, this was the perfect place to slow down, reconnect and enjoy some much-needed family time. Peaceful, welcoming, heartfelt.exactly what we needed.
The walk to Chania, we followed the google map to walk, which was hot and stressful down the main road. I would recommend starting this way, but take a left up the road Marinou Antipa, then past the sports hall, there is a footpath that leads to the beach, over the bridge follow this road to Chania Old Town.
That alone is the best testament to the place.

Good and clean hotel with beautiful sea views.
Good hotel, neat and beautiful sea view from 2nd floor. Balcony with enough privacy. Near Chania with free bus connection at 5 min.

A unique Hotel
To the Multi Tasker and all the staff at Hotel Alexis thank you for looking after us on our recent stay We have visited this hotel on numerous occasions and never fails to let us down quite simply it’s a gem.Situated on the outskirts of Chania near to beaches and for those able walkers more beaches are accessible The Hotel has a essence of friendliness and immaculately clean the restaurant is marvellous appealing to all tastes The hotel is unpretentious and reminds me of our early visits to Greece with wonderful hospitality Don’t hesitate in staying at the Alexis you’ll enjoy the experience
