Perfect Base for Exploring Athens

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Esse Athens. The location was perfect—very walkable, with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby, and we always felt safe walking around the neighborhood.
The staff was accommodating with check in - we were flying in from different locations, and because of flight delays my friend was arriving several hours before I was. I reached out to the hotel, and they were happy to let her check into our room before I arrived. Throughout our stay, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, offering great restaurant recommendations and arranging a taxi to the ferry for us on the day we checked out.
The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and nice. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely stay at Esse Athens again.

Filthy. Do NOT stay here!

Absolutely filthy. Hair, dust, and dirt everywhere. Room smelled awful - musty and smoky. The location is good but there are plenty of hotels in just as good of locations. Do NOT stay here.

Great location, friendly staff.

Great location with most attractions within easy walking distance. The staff were attentive and friendly. The room was quiet at night despite being central. The aircon worked well. The breakfast was a bit average, but served its purpose. The rooms are smallish, but this is understandable given the prime real estate. Price is reasonable.

Such a great little hotel. The staff was super friendly and charming. The rooms were pretty much perfect with really strong air-conditioning and good blackout shades. Also included coffee and plenty of towels and the things you’d expect. Rooms all seem brand new. The breakfast was nothing short of spectacular. What a bargain and a great hotel and the perfect location. Highly recommended.

The hotel was in a great location, close to local shops, restaurants, and attractions. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
