Perfect!

A very quiet hotel for resting, a relaxing environment, and very clean; the staff are all very friendly, the restaurant is highly recommended, and the breakfast is exceptional.
Totally recommendable, we will return.

Poor customer service

We had booked a stay for family of 5 for 3 nights in July back in January. However, due to personal issues the family that had invited us to Southern Athens had to cancel and we decided not to go too. Although I had booked nonrefundable rate it was very expensive as we had 2 large rooms in total for 5 of us, and booking had advised me to ask hotel for free/ reduced cost cancellation as it was totally up to Azur. It was a month before our scheduled stay so we thought the hotel would at least offer rescheduling. They didn’t. They said they can’t make any exceptions and charged us the whole amount. Inflexible and shortsighted approach.

Very good reception team but breakfast happier

Superior service at reception, mixed experiences at breakfast
We had a good stay at Hotel Azur Blum in Athens overall.
Rooms & services: The rooms were absolutely clean, there were fresh towels daily and the drinks were always reliably replenished.
Of particular note is the service at the reception: This one was simply mega!
Since our first room was only accessible via many stairs without elevator, we easily got a new room the same night.
The Recipios staff were helpful, extremely friendly and extremely accommodating at all times – such an excellent service is really rare!
Architecture & orientation: The hotel is very cozy. You really need a really good sense of direction on site to find your way around the aisles.
Volume: Although it is a larger hotel, it was pleasantly quiet. You've heard next to nothing from the other guests in the hallways or neighboring rooms.
Breakfast: Here our impression was divided. Basically there were olives, cottage cheese, cereal, juices, Nutella and jam. In the first week, however, the other selection was rather monotonous (ham, salami, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots) and was often refilled only on demand – although the staff were so fond of bringing me their own platter of salami.
However, there was no possibility for freshly prepared omelettes or freshly fried eggs.
The eggs eat in the bowls, were mostly cold.
One to two days before our departure there was a team change in the breakfast area and the difference was like day and night: Suddenly there was fresh bread and the buffet was refilled without being asked.
The one new employee felt as much as the three-person team of the previous week combined!
Beach: The hotel does not have its own beach. Instead, you are comfortably driven to the beach with a transfer shuttle.
Evening design: A small downer was the lack of atmosphere in the evening. There was unfortunately no cozy corner or bar in the hotel where you could sit down in the evening, listen to some music and talk. Unfortunately, only the own room stayed here.

Disappointing Stay at Azur Hotel

We stayed at Azur Hotel while attending our niece's wedding in Vouliagmeni and expected a higher level of hospitality.
Although the area-wide power outage was beyond the hotel's control, the hotel knew guests could not check into their rooms at the scheduled 3:00 PM check-in time, yet many of us waited for a long time with very little communication or acknowledgment of the inconvenience after a long international journey.
More concerning was the persistent sewage odor in our room throughout our stay, which significantly affected our comfort. In addition, the breakfast buffet was the same every day.
The hotel did extend our checkout by one hour, which we appreciated, but overall the guest experience and level of hospitality fell well below our expectations.
Azur Hotel is a beautiful boutique property in a great location, but unfortunately our overall experience was disappointing.

Cons -
The location is okay, rooms are okay...The rooms are so small that you cannot even open up a large suitcase on the floor. There is a big discrepancy between the lobby/breakfast area and the rooms. The lobby/breakfast area is renovated which does not match the rest of the hotel.
Pro -
The breakfast was delicious!

Very good location
