Great budget hotel!

We at tripadvisor read some negative reviews about this place, but Booking found a lot of positive reviews and decided to come here. We were fine with it. Pleasant hosts, clean and beautiful room, working air conditioning, fridge, oven TV, large terrace with tents. There are dishes in the kitchen too. For that kind of money, this place is great! The sea is 3-5 minutes on foot. If anyone is confused that in the shower old but working shower and similar trivia as in the reviews of other commentators - then you need a hotel for a higher cost. We loved it all!

Awlful

Awlful hotel , food was disgusting , undercooked or burnt .no choice , no posters telling you what was for dinner each day as everyday was pretty much the same and hair found in food on more than one occasion.Rooms were not cleaned properly floors definatly not cleaned were filthy . Covid in hotel , prob due to bad hygiene . First block facing road riddled with cockroaches .cleaners just sat on stairwell smoking and using their phones instead of cleaning rooms .too many people and not enough facilities. Slightest bit of wind and they were taking umbrellas down , putting everyone at risk of sunburn , no shade.
Bar staff rude , avoid at all cost . Best part of the hotel was leaving .

Worst experience ever after more than 15 years summer vacations in Greece

1. We requested check-in at 11 am through booking.com - approved and confirmed by the property. Regardless, we waited until 2 pm to check-in;
2. Our initial reservation was for a room of 24 sq.m., the next day we changed it by booking for a larger room (35 sq.m.) - accordingly with an additional charge. When we checked in, we had a suspicion that despite paying extra, our room was the smaller one, which was confirmed by the map of the property hanging on the door. We brought it to the attention of the owners, but they denied it. Their word against the facts – the room diagram taped to the door and apparently the smallest terrace that is visible even in the property pictures from booking;
3. The room – basic furniture; comfortable mattresses but extremely uncomfortable pillows; a single electrical outlet in the room; poor or lack TV signal; worn plastic table and chairs on the terrace; torn mosquito net - scotch taped; uncleaned drawers in the wardrobe... (for all this I attach clear evidence - photos);
4. The bathroom - without ventilation; rust on bathroom accessories; broken and calcified shower (I attach photos); lack of foot towel;
5. The “kitchen” - it is a cabinet with a small refrigerator with a broken camera door, accordingly it does not work for obtaining ice (the attached photo is eloquent); two stoves; sink; kitchen utensils of questionable quality and cleanliness (I photographed the dish drying area, which most likely has not been cleaned in years); a kitchen aspirator that is not connected to a vent and if you still dare to cook in the room, then all the fumes remain inside;
6. In the booking.com is indicated that the property is on the first line with a sea view - anyone can judge whether it is on the first line, given that it is located on the fourth street parallel to the coast, and from the terrace you can really see 5 centimeters of sea, hidden almost entirely by the neighboring house (seen in the attached photo);
7. Additional payment for the use of air conditioning (5 euro/per day) - the owners were very surprised and quite unhappy that we asked for a document for the money given in hand. They tried to explain that in booking.com is indicated that a fee may be due. We agreed with that, we just wanted a document in relation to the initiative of the Greek government not to pay anything without a receipt;
8. The bins were not cleaned during the stay, let alone the change of bed linen, as one of the property's responses to a disgruntled customer stated that the bed linen was changed halfway through the stay;
9. Of the free toiletries indicated, we once received 2 tiny bottles of shampoo and 2 small bars of soap, and we should have received quantities corresponding to the number of overnight stays; we got ½ a roll of toilet paper and when we asked for another a few days later, the hostess wasn't too happy - we ended up buying from the store;
10. On the day before our departure, we informed that on departure we would like to receive the document/receipt for the air conditioning payment and for the room payment (the amount was debited from our credit card 14 days before check-in), indicating that we were aware that even though we paid more for a bigger room, we were accommodated in a smaller one. We did this so that they would be prepared in the morning and not be late - neither us nor them. We were specifically told that departure was by 10 am, even though the booking.com indicated 10:30 am and the hotel license from the Greek Tourist Organization, stuck on the door in the room, said 12 pm. At 9:30 am we took the key to the reception and there was no one there until 10 am. We received the receipt for the air conditioner but not the one for the paying of the room. Again, the owners were annoyed and surprised that we wanted such a document. We waited on the street in front of the hotel for ½ hour for the document and finally decided that it was not worth ruining the day and left (subsequently we received the requested documents by email - with discrepancies for the paid amounts withdrawn from the credit card, which we will report to the appropriate authorities) . Meanwhile, the housemaid wasn't particularly friendly. He stated that we are nervous, that we are not good people, and that we had a family scandal and that is why we are angry. We requested in our right documents for the payments made, but we received insults. We warned her several times to stop psychologically analyzing us and not to communicate with us anymore - we just sit outside and wait for our receipt. In this property, you pay for a room, and you get an extra service 3 in 1 - housemaid-psychologist-family therapist. While we were waiting for our document, the housemaid brought the bed linen and towels from our room, threw them on the ground in the street (!?) outside the hotel, then started picking them up from the ground and pointing out stains - a dramatic theatrical performance. Finally, she threatened us to be careful what we write as a review, because she was going to write one too. I am not surprised at this, considering her responses to the negative reviews of the property in booking.com (you can see them all) - an unacceptable attitude from an host to a customer;
11. Conclusion - read the negative reviews, they are not random; pay attention to the attitude and responses of the hosts to these comments - they show the attitude of the owners to their customers; refrain from booking when you see that in high season a property still has vacancies - as was our case with Vangelis - the only one with vacancies. We will never visit this property again. In addition, we will appeal to booking.com and to the competent institutions in Greece with a complaint about the service, offensive attitude and discrepancies between advertising and reality.
12. After our review in booking.com, supported with facts and pictures, the housemaid send me an offensive email commenting my personal life. Obviously that lady has a lot of stored and unused energy – I will propose to use it, for example, for cleaning the property…

Horrible

C’est tout simplement HORRIBLE , la responsable très très antipathique qui fait que des problèmes. Tu peux pas manger avec tes amis, dans ta terrasse, ni boire tranquillement ensemble.
C’est tout à fait déconseillés..
