Let's keep this our little secret
So we booked last minute'ish..looking for something different and not corporate to chill and rewind...and for 9 days we deffo achieved the objective. The reviews are not wrong and the number of couples who are repeat bookers speaks to quality of life at Pahnis!
Situated about a 10 minute walk to the restaurants and a little further to the beach, all depends on how fast you walk i guess... the walk into and back from town is down a road, which can be busy, but in the main most drivers area courteous and provide wide berth. Tbh you can grab a horse and cart if you prefer, we didn't as we enjoyed looking for toads in the culvert to the side of the road :-) whilst we walked off dinner.
The studios are simple but very very clean, the house maids come in each day to sort the beds and the towels. There is a fridge and a couple of rings to heat food. The bathroom has the basics.. traditional Greece with a shower and curtain but ALWAYS hot water!!
The pool area is fab, mixture of hard and grass areas with plenty of sunbeds and a very clean pool with one for the adults and a very small one for younger children. There is a small play area and maybe older children will struggle with the quietness and laid back nature of the place...you just need to get your head into a book. There is excellent wifi.
The bar serves breakfast and the food is very good and probs the best full english i've had in a long time...to much to be honest. no buffet style just chose from a menu. Maybe one area to consider is more veggie options and for breakfast yoghurt with fresh fruit to compliment the honey. We had breakfast most mornings, lunch a few times but ate out most evenings. There is a good choice in the town.
The hotel is run by a family with two brothers who are at the forefront always seen around the hotel, however I'd say it's Tasos (tom?) is the face... and his children and his niece and nephews... he welcomed us off the bus, carried my wifes luggage, checked us in, served us breakfast, lunch and was there until late serving excellent drinks at the bar. He's fantastic, speaks good english and also very funny!!
Everyone who was staying at the hotel were ace, all very friendly chatty and made the holiday a real experience full of memories... so thx to the Villa quartet, the Scottish duo, the 2x irish couples who included the funniest care worker you would want to meet :-) maybe see you again

Absolutely BRILLIANT Hotel
Amazing family who own/run the Hotel nothing is too much trouble, everyone is Lovely and they all work so hard to make sure you have a Great Holiday.
The pool area is Fabulous, really clean, sunbeds always available, the Bar is Great with lovely food which is very reasonably priced and massive portions.
The Best Breakfast we've ever had in Greece and we've been coming for over 20 years.
The rooms are a good size with everything you need, nice clean bedding and plenty of towels.
We had a FABULOUS first week and then unfortunately my dad has been ill and had to be admitted to a Greek hospital, we travelled as a family of five but two of our party have had to return to the UK
myself and my sister have stayed with our dad in Greece, it's been really stressful but the family who run the hotel have been Amazing, they have found rooms to let us stay even though they are fully booked in peak season, taken us to the hospital and shown much Genuine Concern.
Thank you so much, you are all SUPERSTARS!!
I would not hesitate in highly recommending this Fabulous place and will definitely return!!!

Absolutely an outstanding gem of a place! From the moment you arrive, you're made to feel genuinely welcome. It's a small, peaceful, and wonderfully relaxing hotel with a warm, friendly atmosphere that's perfect for a stress-free holiday.
The location is ideal—just a five-minute stroll into the heart of Alykanas, where you'll find an excellent choice of restaurants, bars, and shops to suit every taste.
Pahnis also has its own fantastic menu, serving delicious food and drinks from morning through to the evening, all at exceptionally reasonable prices. There's really no need to go far if you simply want to relax by the pool and enjoy great food.

Perfect
What an amazing place this is, situated in a perfect place for peace and Quiet but only 20 minute walk to bars and restaurants, The family owners are so welcoming and accommodating, The rooms as well as all the buildings and pool area were spotless? Just a perfect place whether you’re a loan traveller or a group, I honestly haven’t got a negative comment. Got back this morning already looking rebooking

Perfect stay. However, the dog box...
Very welcoming, modern, and clean residence, away from noise and confusion. The village is nearby, reachable on foot, although one must consider that the roads are not lit and lack sidewalks. There is a large swimming pool and one for children, well-equipped with gazebos and loungers, and with a bar that is always operational. There is a convenient internal parking lot. Everything is very clean and well-kept. Our room was equipped with a small kitchen, minimalist but absolutely sufficient. It is possible to have breakfast at the bar but not in a buffet style and at the cost of nine euros, which is a bit much... We opted to manage on our own using the kitchen. Very kind and welcoming staff who do not speak Italian (this is the case throughout the island). On the day of check-out, since the flight departed only in the late afternoon, they allowed us to use the pool and loungers without asking for anything. Truly very kind. So everything is fine. Except for the box where a dog is kept locked up, 2 meters by 2, covered by a miserable contraption of reeds, exposed to the sun and heat all day, with the water bowl that is already boiling by 10 in the morning. There is space... Make it bigger and properly covered!!! In Italy, the dog would be seized and a report for mistreatment would be filed...
