fantastic place to stay
Lindenhaus in the village of Baernzell is the perfect place to stay for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
The room was spotlessly clean, bright and airy, the bathroom had a great shower.. Liked the big communal table in the breakfast room, great way to meet and chat to other guests. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and most spoke a bit of English. Would definitely go back...

Wonderful!!
We spent a week at Lindenhaus while on a motorcycle tour. It's a lovely place in a quiet village, perfect for exploring southeastern Bavaria. The room was immaculate and we had a wonderful breakfast every morning. We loved it!

Nice, relaxed Location
We stayed in the Lindenhaus for 11 nights with a small child. In the apartment is everything there what you need. The owners and also the employees are top friendly, helpful, all speak minimum a little bit English. We booked a special package, two times the same, so we had in total four Massage-Sessions included in the price (very good, the people are top educated and the treatment is in a nice environment.
Coming out of a 8 Mio. City the first days where boring, because only nature, horses, cows, cats and dogs. You step out of the door and you here only the animals, some birds the wind and sometimes some cars and framing machines, but thats it. We adjusted very fast, OK, lucky weather was real summer for the whole time and we enjoyed that trip a lot.
The location is great for going around in the Bavarian Forrest National Park, not too far to the National Road (B85, but you can't hear the traffic), all the main tourist spots you can reach within 30 to 40 minutes.
Zwiesel is walking distance, 30 minutes to the Kurgarten, another benefit of the location, 3 Supermarkets are also in walking distance (Lidl, Aldi, REWE, one with a Bakery inside which is open on Sunday and public holidays).
Baernzell itself is a small farming village, every farm with holiday appartments, one nice Restaurant where we went regularly for dinner, local food, price-quality-ratio good and for sure nice fresh beer. Around Baernzell a lot of nice possibilities for hiking and biking, some of them can be used with the Baby-Car.
If you're looking for a silent location, fresh air, nice people, easy to reach, then you're right in the Lindenhaus.

FANTASTIC
We stayed for two nights while shopping for crystal and loved this place. It's located just outside Zwiesel in the small, quiet Village of Baernzell. We has a one bedroom apartment on the top floor with a balcony and a beautiful view and sunset. The kitchen, living, & dining area are all one large room with a well stocked kitchen with a full size oven with cook top, under counter refrigerator with freezer, electric water kettle, a drip coffee pot with filters provided, plenty of pots, pans, dishes, glasses, utensils to prepare a small meal if desired. There was nothing we couldn't find. The bed was firm and comfortable for a great nights sleep and the bathroom was spacious with a wonderful shower. We were greeted even before we shut the car off with a warm English speaking welcome and shown to our room. We chose to eat the breakfast @ euro 8 each per day and would highly recommend it. We felt very well taken care of and every wish was provided with a smile. We had our dog with us and she loved the warm reception too.

Herzliche Gastlichkeit - Erholung pur!
Im kleinen und ruhigen Flecken Bärnzell günstig gelegen, findet man in diesem familiär geführtem Betrieb großzügige und modern eingerichtete Zimmer mit allem "drumherum". Parkplätze und WLAN inklusive, ein üppiges Frühstück, bei dem man auch gerne seine Wünsche einbringen darf gepaart mit der unaufdringlichen Freundlichkeit der Betreiber - hier möchte man es dem Gast so schön wie möglich machen! Als Extra steht noch eine Sauna mit Hot-Whirlpool zur kostenlosen Verfügung. Alles ist top in Schuß, modern und bestens Gepflegt. Die Lage ist auch positiv zu erwähnen: Die Pension liegt sehr ruhig, der Ort ist aber im Bereich Bayrischer Wald zentral,
