Successful package.
I stayed for two nights during my week in Sylt at the Fährhaus Sylt (Room 113 (Superior with terrace). Everything was clean and well-maintained. Beds were comfortable. Reception and farewell by Director Ms. Reichelt were very friendly and charming. Check-in and check-out were professional and quick. The waiting time for the room at the bar with a welcome drink was spent pleasantly. Friendly greetings from all staff. Hotel and room orientation is comprehensive. Delicious cakes with coffee, excellent dinner, and a very extensive and tasty breakfast. Maritime ambiance with many accessories to discover. The fitness room is unfortunately closed at the moment due to water damage. Spa area with pool, hot tub, relaxation room, steam bath, and saunas. Outdoor area with loungers and outdoor sauna. Location by the harbor is very beautiful and idyllic. Great starting point for beach walks, biking, or surfing.
I definitely felt very comfortable and can only recommend the ferry house.

Basically not a bad choice.
The Alte Fährhaus is located in the Munkmarsch harbor. Because of this, it is a bit out of the way, but that is not a disadvantage. Ultimately, you can get from Munkmarsch to Keitum or Kampen in a few minutes.
The rooms are well-equipped, although the function of the Bose speakers hanging in the corners remained a mystery to me until I departed after a week.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and generally competent.
Very nice breakfast until 12:00 PM. Food in the restaurant is consistently very good.
A downside remains an unusable fitness room, information that came very shortly before arrival. The "replacement fitness room" was a bad joke: a broken recumbent bike, a Concept Rower, a few mats, and a few dumbbells. That is not how it works. It also doesn't help if a visit to a gym is offered as an alternative. That is exactly what you do not want in a 5-star superior hotel: driving halfway across the island to work out.
For me personally, a big minus - a missing fitness room would normally be a reason not to book the hotel. Also, no compensation of any kind was offered - that is weak and does not fit the otherwise good impression.
Another minus point, at least for me, is the unfortunate trend of separating bathrooms only with glass walls and loud-closing glass sliding doors.

Munkmarsch is the new Kampen
After our regular hotel, Walters Hof in Kampen, became the Strönhof, we had to find a new hotel for our annual Sylt visits.
Fortunately, we decided on the Fährhaus. There is really nothing left to be desired here. From the spectacular view to the warm service, everything is top-notch. Ms. Schultz from the breakfast service is a real ray of sunshine.
We would love to come back next year.

UNIQUELY GREAT.
It's great.
The atmosphere of the house is very sensitive.
You quickly feel at home. And wants to be there all the time.
The large outdoor terrace is particularly recommended. Overlooking the sea a special way of slowing down. Always happy.
Especially the espresso with the small homemade cookie is a recommendation.
