Hotel im Grünen mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Auch wenn das Hotel schon in die Jahre gekommen ist, lohnt es sich hier zu übernachten. Die restaurierten Bereiche, zum Beispiel das Foyer/ Restaurant sind wunderschön gestaltet. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr abwechslungsreich und lecker, dass Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Da das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, ist es für uns nicht schlimm gewesen, dass die Zimmer nicht mehr so schön waren und eine Modernisierung bräuchten. Hier waren wir schließlich auch nur zum Schlafen.

Quiet and well located, although basic

Good for a relaxing getaway in the countryside, with great tennis facilities. Far enough from town to avoid the crowds and close to a supermarket.
The room is basic, but it is very clean and the bathroom has been refurbished. The curtains are thin and let the light in when sun rises.
The mattress was very poor quality and not strong enough dor a big guy like me. Very nice and helpful staff.

Andet end tennis er squash og keglebanen slidt. Der mangler i den grad en opgradering af faciliteterne som har stået stille siden 90`erne. Maden i restauranten er god og mættende men ikke med en wow oplevelsen.

Gutes Hotel nahe Wernigerode. Älteres Gebäude, das aber modernisiert wurde. Exzellente Sportmöglichkeiten. Sehr freundliches und kompetentes Personal.
Zimmer ausreichend groß und funktionell möbliert. Anlage macht gepflegten Eindruck.
Frühstück variantenreich und schmackhaft.

Sporthotel ???

Im Januar 2020 planten wir eine Tennisgruppenreise ins Sporthotel Wernigerode.Schon die Kontaktaufnahme gestaltete sich schwierig.Eine Anfrage über die Homepage blieb unbeantwortet, ebenso das direkte Anschreiben per Email.Erst nach telefonischer Anfrage wurde ein Angebot erstellt. da die Reise erst 9 Monate später stattfinden sollte, wurde vereinbart die genaue Zimmeranzahl einen Monat vorher mitzuteilen.
In der Coronazeit kein Hinweis auf etwaige Einschränkungen.
Nach den Coronabeschränkungen telefonische Zusage alles Bestens. Die Bitte es schriftlich zu bestätigen wurde 2x ignoriert. Nach nochmaliger telefonischer Aufforderung konnten nicht alle Zimmer bestätigt werden, ein Paar sollte woanders schlafen.
Daraufhin wurde die Reise von uns abgesagt.
Im Nachhinein stellte sich heraus,dass von den 3 Außenplätzen nur noch 2 existierten, die genau wie die Hallenplätze in sehr schlechtem Zustand waren. Der Squashcourt diente als Rumpel-Abstellkammer.
