Interesting and unusual stay 'not run of the mill'

Interesting because of the novel use of design in the rooms. Good view of the castle from our room. Unusual, as we were expected to do a self service breakfast and eat at the table in our room with our friends, who were on a different floor. Spiral staircase to bathroom could be tricky for children
Breakfast buffet was good and lots of fresh products.
Sven speaks English well and is extremely helpful, his recommendations for dinner venues were excellent. He certainly goes the extra mile and took us with our luggage to the station when we left.

Not for non german speakers

It is nice looking but the room was in one floor, and the bathroom in the floor below. Do not wait to the last minute!! Silvia was not very nice. Make sure to get out of the room at 10 am. SHARP!!!!! or they will be tapping their feet for you to get out. not very good for kids. In some rooms you can not open the windows to get a breeze. If it is hot, you are out of luck.

we came back

the pension is still the best, the owners are outstanding, great breakfast with a little note on the table with wishes for a nice day, sauna, Jacuzzi and massage chairs for relaxing moments. thanks to the whole family and also to Anja!!! we had such a great time, see you soon!

The Best

the new and modern 5 star pension is since long time the best place where we stayed...the furniture are excellent and the owners are very nice people...you have the view to the castle of wernigerode and you could walk to the middle of town...we really were surprised of the charme of this little new jewel...we are hoping to go back

Nicht was es verspricht

Das Schloss Idyll verspricht viel auf den Fotos,aber hält nicht was es verspricht. Zb. war die Herdplatte nicht an geschlossen. Das WC/Dusche wurde durch ein zwischen Tür die sich im Gang befindet verschlossen, so dass jeder das WC nutzen kann weil die Verbindungstür nur mit einem Hebel von der innen Seite schlossen wir(sehr provisorisch). Ansonsten ist die Pension sehr gut gelegen. Es dauert nur einen kurzen Fußweg in die Altstadt.
