Recommended!
The hotel is in very good condition. Parking is available for a fee in the adjacent public garage (The hotel places are not easy to find: After entering the hotel, turn right, descend to level -1 and then follow the small signs, which are not easily visible, leading to the hotel area. From there you can reach the reception by stairs)
The room was perfectly fine, sufficiently large and clean. The same goes for the bathroom. Fortunately, we had a real shower and not a bathtub.
Worth highlighting is the very best "colorful" staff, especially in the restaurant service - all very friendly, helpful and attentive - optimal from my point of view.
Breakfast offers a very rich selection. Due to the size of the breakfast room it is quite noisy at high occupancy there.
Dinner with half board is available as a buffet, as a free choice from the menu or as a half board menu with choice for the main course - we liked all three alternatives. The food was very good in all cases.

Poor menus.
We stayed five nights as part of a Railtrail group. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, the room warm and comfortable and serviced daily.
As two vegetarians we were bitterly disappointed with the evening meals each day, the food was frankly appalling. There was no dedicated vegetarian dish and we had to make up a meal from the vegetables provided for the main meat or fish dish. The desserts became monotonous comprising a choice between two different flavoured mousse-like substances each evening. The cheese board was limited in choice and no bread or biscuits provided. There were no replacements of any dish, and we were specifically told that the petit-fours were only produced in a small quantity.
We were allocated to the seven-thirty sitting and formed the impression the menu on offer was that remaining from earlier diners. We spoke to our tour manager of our dissatisfaction but recognised any solution was not in his hands.
All together we felt we had stayed in a four-star hotel with the catering standards of a bygone era.

Good quality quiet hotel well placed for the station and town centre
Somewhat dour staff
Comfortable room and neat bathroom (unable to turn the heat down - larger towels would be welcome and somewhat miserly fact that they wanted 5 euros to replace the coffee/tea sachets!)
Good large restaurant with buffet and well stocked but uninteresting breakfast

Never again....
We were looking forward to 3 nice days (birthday) times out of the professional hustle and bustle. Room clean but overheated, stale, in the bathroom the radiators rusty, fittings went hard to use, the beds of hollow fibers, cheap, you sag while lying down. Breakfast what we were looking forward to disaster. Salmon and dressed salad very brown, bananas with beginning
Rottenness, jam unsightly, buns (like from a supermarket bag) floppy, when sliced everything fell apart, coffee tasted stretched (half malt coffee, half cheap coffee, sausage of old days. For the chunky trip we were looking forward to the packed lunch. This was also a bust. Children's bag with nonsensical all sorts and a floppy bun with majo and withered salad leaf, majo and something indefinable. No sandwiches. So we pushed the whole long trip hungry for the disappointed breakfast. After the trip we decided to leave immediately after one night and day. We were served. We've never had such a bad hotel. One star, nothing more. We will not come back and also do not recommend.

good renovated room, amazing staff at front desk, good german breakfast, super pet friendly and good locality - easily walkable to marktplatz
