Rather than answering our question, the last message we were sent was a message quoting a book titled Keine Zeit für Arschlöcher (“No Time for Assxxx”) and telling us that the sender had become very calm since reading it.
We weren’t expecting anything extravagant—just basic courtesy and helpfulness.
I travel a lot for sport and this is the first time in all my life that I receive an answer like this.

Nice family hotel
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on Sunday. Because there is little else to do in Effelder we ate just across the border in Vlodrop.

Generous and Flexible
The Hotel is located in the middle of the Suburban Mückenstraße, on the West side about 300m North of the junction with Dorfstraße. There is parking for a few cars outside.
The Main Entrance is to the Bar and Breakfast Room. Entrance to the Rooms is by a separate Door to the left side. The Hotel will leave Keys in a SafeBox and provide the KeyCode on request, for arrivals after normal Trading Hours.
The Rooms are large and clean. A nice touch are the choice of shampoos for the Shower. Free WiFi is provided.
The breakfast is very generous with much choice, including delicious home-made Jams. The Owners are very friendly and accommodating.

Lovely stop over
The apartment was lovely and spacious. The beds comfy and we had a little balcony off the lounge. The apartment and the hotel were a little dated but clean and functional. The kitchen had extra little handy touches like olive oil, chillis etc and sparkling water.
Its located within a residential area and you can easily walk around the fields to a lake right from the door step and also to the Holland/German border.
The continental breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The staff great.
