Family-run hotel with heart

Super nice family business. Breakfast buffet was really delicious, fresh and rich. Dinner totally tasty and great presented on the plates. Rooms are bright, friendly and super clean. Location is of course great because the buses leave / arrive right outside the door. We felt fully comfortable and welcome. Thank you very much

Solid breakfast, but unfortunately the room and restaurant were disappointing.

Title: Solid breakfast, but unfortunately the room and restaurant were disappointing.
Review:
We recently stayed at the Ehranger Hof. Unfortunately, we can only recommend the hotel to a limited extent, as our stay had some downsides.
The positives first: The breakfast was truly abundant and good; there was absolutely nothing to criticize, and the staff is very friendly.
Unfortunately, the negative aspects outweighed:
Unfortunately, our previously expressed room request and dinner reservation (about 4 months before the trip) could not be accommodated. We also unfortunately did not receive any feedback on our email regarding the room and dinner. Since we mistakenly assumed that everything would be reserved and possible as requested, we were disappointed on site. However, the owner informed us that this was not the case, which we unfortunately found less pleasant and disappointing.
Dinner: In the 2-course menu, the soup was served only lukewarm, and the main dish also came from the microwave. The food was disappointing and not recommended; however, a change in the side dish was taken into account.
Room: Originally, we had booked a room facing the street on the 1st floor. However, since this was not available, we were offered a room facing the courtyard – an option that was not acceptable to us. Ultimately, we were accommodated in an attic room. Due to the sloping ceiling, the room was smaller, and the floor creaked with every step, and the television had to be reprogrammed by the owner because no channel was working. The beverage selection in the room consisted of 2 small bottles of water. On the ground floor, there was a refrigerator with assorted drinks. Bathroom: In the bathroom, the accessible outlet near the mirror, hand lotion, and shampoo were missing.
Toilet area: Unfortunately, the toilet area in the bathroom was much too cramped.
It was hardly possible to use it comfortably. Parking:
Due to the closure of the opposite train station, the parking situation has significantly improved.
There are plenty of free parking spaces available, so booking a paid parking space for 10 euros could be avoided.
Conclusion: Overall, we would not recommend the hotel due to certain issues. The 3-star classification represents verified quality according to the criteria of the Hotelstars Union and provides guests with guidance and trust when booking; in our opinion, there is still room for improvement for 3-star accommodations.
For a few nights, there are certainly better alternatives in the region.

Disappointment

We recently went to this restaurant with friends.
It surprised us when we entered that we were obviously the only guests.
A friendly waitress brought us the menus and took the order.
After we had all chosen something they unfortunately came much too hot drinks.
Afterwards, said service informed us that P.frittes, which we should all get to our dishes according to the map, were not there. We should pick another side dish.
A restaurant that has no fries in stock....very strange.
To our food I can only say sweet and tasteless clapped on the huge plate. A very bitter disappointment.
We are not allowed to visit this place again.

Top price performance / friendly and confident

Location: central but enough distance “from the shot” to have peace. The Moselsteig can be reached within a 20-minute walk. Shops, petrol station and public transport in the immediate vicinity.
Hotel: small but nice. It looks inconspicuous from the outside but then shines with modernity, friendliness, clean rooms and great food.
We had the “sauna room”. The room was very spacious, clean, with sauna and corner bathtub. A large tv and sufficient space also available in the bathroom. Check in and check out went smoothly.
Food: we had a three course menu and on individual requests , such as that we hate to eat pork, was taken into consideration and there were enough alternatives. The service was great. Friendly and sovereign. The hotel is family run and you feel comfortable and perceived.
Breakfast had a good, manageable selection.
Even in the dining area everything is clean.
Staff: absolutely top!! Super friendly and authentic. No matter who on the team.
Value for money is top! We really liked it all around!

Dinner

The food was incredibly bad. Table-toothed, chewable. Roast onion, the meat was indefinable. Side salads came after repeated inquiries half an hour after the end of the meal. Absolutely not recommended
