Amazing food, clean rooms and friendly staff

I don’t review often but I must recommend this place! Absolutely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Staff super, super nice and friendly! Clean, cozy room(s) with nice beds! As a Vegetarian they had great options for me and the food was amazing - especially dinner! Price is good and I will definitly come back here again! The location is also great! Spalt is such a nice little town, not far from Munich or Nurnberg!

Extremely disappointing

Negatives: this hotel was very basic and dated. Rooms were clean but in desperate need of refurbishment; the shower head would fall down mid wash and if you were more than two minutes washing, the tray would fill up with water. Shampoo and shower gel are lacking so make sure to bring your own! There is no public transport only taxis which are quite expensive. Too many flies but nothing in place to keep them away from food. However, the biggest negative for me had to be the guy in charge. He is clearly in the wrong job or forced to take in guests via booking.com as he was extremely unhospitable and at first made us feel as though our booking didn't actually exist!! Fortunately my husband can speak German so we couldn't blame the language barrier. However, when it was time to pay up he managed to raise a smile and actually said "alles gut?" Positives: The breakfast was adequate and the other staff members were obliging. All in all we would definitely not recommend this hotel.

Lecker Essen

Super fränkische Küche!
Ich einen top Spargel (mit Kartoffeln, Schinken und zerlassener Butter).
Ein Traum!
Danach ein sehr leckerer Apfelstrudel .
Die Bedienung was sehr sehr nett und aufmerksam.
Nicht von der Optik der Gaststube täuschen lassen.

Passt alles

Ich war für eine Nacht Gast im Gasthof Krone. Der Empfang war herzlich und mir wurde alles freundlich erklärt. Im Hof kann man kostenlos parken. Die Zimmer sind vollkommen ausreichend ausgestattet und alles ist sauber. Das Bad hat eine Dusche. Es gibt kostenloses wlan und die Betten sh d bequem.
