Great place

Very good restaurant,great food, great atmosphere, and amazing staff.Clean rooms, free wi-fi,free parking.. Huge terrace in the back of the hotel , very quiet and very nice place to be, will be back again.

The restaurant is a disaster

Our visit to Kretschmanns was unfortunately disastrous. The kitchen was staffed only by a young chef, which is no problem in itself. However, the service was really poor. The red-haired operator seemed unmotivated and unkempt. First we were brought a cup of drink, which can happen and was also replaced without any problems. The food, however, was a disaster. The mushroom sauce was cold and tasted like ready broth. The pork medallions in pepper “cream” sauce were even worse. The meat was dry-fried and the sauce was inedible hot. This was partly because the cream was forgotten. It may happen, but when we approached the friendly red-haired waitress mentioned, she simply claimed in the menu there was a pepper sauce without cream. Of course, we checked this, but even on our advice, there was not even an apology. As a guest you don't feel taken seriously or appreciated. We still wanted to have the uneaten schnitzel packed, but this wish was also not fulfilled. Even when cashing in, it was still pissed that it was overheard that you want to pay in cash and then the issuing of change takes several minutes. You had the feeling it should just be withheld as a tip.
It's a pity, we are looking for a good regular restaurant after our move to the region. This definitely won’t be!!

Good Experience

I was on a business trip. The chance made to get here. Nice and cozy place, clean rooms, modern furniture, good and helpful staff, nice atmosphere and one of the most important things - great food ;) i am a food lover, after all.

Too warm at night

We used this as a stop-over hotel going from Italy to Denmark for which reason we arrived very late. Rooms are ok, but this being July we barely got any sleep since the hotel was so warm at night and did not have any aircondition. For the purpose of a quick stop-over during the summer we will not go here again.

Not worth the money

When we arrived at the hotel at 4.30 pm, no one was there. We had to phone a mobile number and a very unfriendly voice instructed us to look for a safe deposit box where, after putting in a code, we found the keys. The lady spoke poorly German and no English at all ( she was Polish). The hallway was dark, no lights worked and we tried to find our way upstairs to the room. The restaurant was closed and nothing was to be found nearby. So we had a few sandwiches in the room( good that we had our own little kettle and some coffee and tea with us). At night it was very warm in the room; yet we could not have the window open as there was really loud road noise. Breakfast was not too bad. Parking is a public one in the back ( nowhere indicated!). We will certainly not return to this place.
