Over the years again and again

Since 1991, we have been grateful returnees with growing family, now with 8 grandchildren. That alone should be judgement enough for good Service, best food, unsurpassed breakfast buffet, rich wine list, high room comfort, family Mood, table culture, surroundings, short and long hiking trails. The comparison with the comparable 3 houses in the area is effortlessly positive: Located outside a village, absolute tranquility as an expanded former forest house on the edge of the forest, far from the traffic road, unobstructed distant view of the Hohe Bone, infinity pool, heated inside and outside, family audience, no fancyMicki audience, playground equipment, large parking with electric charging station.

We stayed for a weekend at the forest house. We didn’t miss anything.
The food, the pools, the relaxation room, the sauna, the staff... everything was perfect,

Repeat offenders

We were lucky to have been accommodated in one of the new rooms. The facilities will be excellent, great beds and a bathroom that I can let show. Everything in the Waldhaus is excellent, right down to the attentive service and kitchen quality. We like to come back every year.

Idyllic time in the Sauerland with all that goes with it - culinary delight and relaxation for all the senses

We stayed for a few days to relax in the Sauerland.Since we were looking for a dog-friendly hotel, we came across the beautiful Hotel Waldhaus.I was more than positively surprised and this even though the Infintypool was renovated and was not usable. From the beginning, the extremely friendly welcome and the beautiful room with a unique view has delighted us very much.Even if we have lacked in the room a small possibility for tea or café cooking, we felt very comfortable.Especially noteworthy, however, is the grandiose cuisine and the very accommodating and very attentive service.It is really thought of everything and yet there is a natural looseness, so that you feel completely comfortable.Due to beautiful hiking trails directly from the house, the hotel is just very suitable for dog walks.Before the hike you can strengthen yourself in the morning with a very extensive, fresh and rich breakfast buffet.Also here the love for a good, healthy and diverse cuisine is noticeable. Really a very big praise for every special menu and the special enjoyment every day.We can only recommend the hotel ravingly and will gladly come back when the pool is renovated and then nothing is missing. A heartfelt thank you for the wonderful days.

A lunch break

On 04.01.2025 we went to the Waldhaus at noon to have a drink after a snow hike and bring a hot soup into our stomachs.
Nice welcome by the host, whom we still knew from past visits here in the house.
He also took our order and then disappeared.
After that nothing happened for a long time until after about 10 minutes a service lady came and at least brought the drinks.
To bring the soup then it took another 15 minutes, which I think is borderline long, especially since there was almost no operation at lunchtime.
What also struck us was the fact that the empty soup plates, when we ordered cappucciono for dessert, were not cleared but stopped.
We had to wait quite a long time for the bill.
So I mean, there's a lot of room for improvement on the serve.
