Good place for an overnight stop

I was impressed with the thorough covid checks the staff perform. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfasts and evening meal. The hotel is situated in a quiet rural setting. Staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and chatty.

4 stars only on paper

Priced over, and where the 4 stars are supposed to come from is a mystery; the "junior suite with a view over the Weser Valley" looked above all at the directly in front of the roof of the hotel restaurant, the room did not even have tea bags and kettle, let alone a refrigerator.

In unseren Junior Suiten ist standardmäßig eine Kaffeemaschine mit hochwertigen Kapseln vorhanden. Einen Wasserkocher stellen wir auf Wunsch jederzeit gern zur Verfügung – dies ist in einem 4-Sterne-Hotel üblich und kein Merkmal einer Selbstversorgerunterkunft.
Zur Aussicht: Trotz des vorgelagerten Dachs bietet die Suite einen freien Blick über das Wesertal, wie auch auf unseren Zimmerbeschreibungen ersichtlich. Viele Gäste schätzen genau diese erhöhte Lage mit Weitblick.
Unsere 4-Sterne-Klassifizierung beruht auf objektiven Kriterien und regelmäßigen Prüfungen. Preis und Leistung verstehen wir als ausgewogen, insbesondere durch Lage, Service, Ausstattung und Gastronomie.

Cozy and comfortable

Nice hotel outside Rinteln. Cozy rooms, great breakfast, terrace with view.
There's a bike garage with recharge options. We were generally satisfied with the staff and service.
The only downside in my opinion is that the blacksmith only opens until 9 p.m. and if he arrives later, there's just nowhere to eat, although there's a coffee maker in the room.

Thank you for rating our breakfast and our staff so highly. The fact that our kitchen closes at 9 p.m. is normal here in the rural region. If you inform us of your late arrival, the kitchen will be happy to prepare a cold dish for you so that nobody has to go to bed hungry. We would be delighted if you would choose us again as your host on your next trip to Germany.

Out of town location

Spent 3 nights at this hotel. Very friendly on arrival. Good sized room with soaps, hairdryer towel. Soaps would have been useful to be replenished during our stay. Mini bar in room. Good breakfast with cereals, yoghurts, eggs, bacon, meats, salmon and bread. Use of umbrella's when raining. Very helpful staff and printed bus times. Approx 25 min walk to centre of Rinteln but bus available.

ok

we stayed in this hotel on a return journey from Poland
the hotel rooms are fairly basic if not dated
meal in restaurant was above average with above average prices
breakfast next morning was good with a selection of cold and hot food
would I stay again? probably not
