Hotel

This is by far the best value for money I have EVER experienced in Germany! The quality, service, and overall experience exceeded all my expectations. From the friendly staff to the comfortable rooms, everything was just perfect. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great comfort without breaking the bank!

Simply good

Was here for the second time, as I was very happy staying here the first time! It is in a small town so there is not necessarily much to see, except for the beautiful nature. Rooms are good size and the bed is not the best but OK for the one night I was there. The hotel is clean and offers all that you need!

Unacceptable unkindness of behaviour

Reservation for our wedding party in early July was made back in January. When wanting to see where exactly the event would take place, the landlady was first unable to find the reservation, and then made us feel to have to apologize that we dared to intend to have them host our wedding party! Totally unacceptable! - People like them certainly do not need my business, and the reservation got cancelled right away.
Unfortunately there is no possibility to provide a zero rating so they are receiving one point for nothing...

Lovely hotel

I had a visit to Continental in Regensburg but all hotels in Regensburg were not really affordable. So finally booked the Landgasthof Schneider in Essing which was about 30 minutes away... and now am totally happy I did
What I liked
+ Family owned and run hotel with personal touch
+ Large clean rooms, modern but with a traditional Bavarian touch
+ Modern bathroom
+ Breathtaking location settled between a river and a steep mountain
+ Nice restaurant with great food and a large beergarden
+ Very friendly staff
+ Free Wifi (acceptable speed) and free parking
+ Very relaxing night
+ Good price (I stayed in room 2)
I will come back whenever I am in the region.

Great gem in a beautiful area of Bavaria

The Schneiders are a wonderful family and it shows in their hospitality and care. The rooms are very nice, the breakfast is excellent and I really like their dinner menu. I have stayed there several times now and it is almost like coming home every time I return. We have booked our family vacation there this year, there are so many things to do close by. The hotel definitely reflects the values of the hosts, they seem to work all the time, they are always helpful and after the latest renovation the ambiance even got better.
