Simple hotel but clean

I stayed here during a business trip and was satisfied. The rooms are clean. The reception was friendly. Breakfast manageable but OK. The price-performance ratio is great.

Self check-in but card machine wouldn't work which was hasstle.
Extra charges for parking.
Pillow was a duvet screwed up inside a pillow case, rather than a proper pillow.
No kettle or basic amenities.
I would pay the extra money next time to stay somewhere else.

Worst Hotel Ever, the Reception person was very bad, charged more to pay with credit card, he wanted only cash, looked kind drunk… Really bad situation

No tourist hotel and no restaurant by German standards. Requested cash payment suggests illegalities.

Unfortunately, a disappointment. Was there 4 nights. Expected a modern holiday hotel. Found a workers and truckers accommodation. Located in the industrial district, close to the noisy motorway. Credit cards are not wanted, had to pay cash, which is dubious for me these days and suggests black money/money laundering.
Restaurant NOT available. An empty, uninviting room (hardly any guests, who is surprised?) without a menu is not a restaurant. 2 kinds of frozen pizzas would be available or a foreign standard menu, which I did not trust because of staff who hardly speak German. Bed very old, uncomfortable and small (195x90 cm). Shower fittings broken. Parking for my little motorcycle on oversized, almost empty parking lot cost extra. Foreign workers from Eastern Europe who speak the language of the staff are better off than holidaymakers. They hardly have any claims either.

This hotel is obviously not geared up for non German speakers or the tourist market.
